Aadabidda Nidhi Scheme, Andhra Pradesh
Andhra Pradesh state government scheme
Aadabidda Nidhi is an announced Andhra Pradesh scheme to pay Rs 1,500 a month to women aged 19 to 59 who are not drawing a comparable government benefit, worth Rs 18,000 a year by Direct Benefit Transfer. Detailed guidelines and the application window have not yet been notified, so no application should be filed or paid for.
What is the Aadabidda Nidhi scheme?
Aadabidda Nidhi is an announced women's income support scheme of the Government of Andhra Pradesh, to be run by the Women Development and Child Welfare Department, under which eligible women are to receive Rs 1,500 a month as direct financial assistance. The Telugu name translates roughly as "daughter's fund", and the announced design places it in the same family as the unconditional women's cash transfers several Indian states have introduced.
This guide has to be read with one caveat stated up front: Aadabidda Nidhi has been announced, but detailed operational guidelines and an application window have not been notified. The benefit amount and the broad target group are on record; the income ceiling, the exclusion list, the portal and the payment start date are not. Nothing on this page should be treated as an open application process, and no reader should pay anyone to be "registered" for the scheme.
At Rs 1,500 a month, the announced benefit is worth Rs 18,000 a year, to be paid by Direct Benefit Transfer into the woman's own bank account rather than in cash or kind.
Who is expected to be eligible for Aadabidda Nidhi?
On the basis of what has been announced:
Women expected to qualify:
- Female residents of Andhra Pradesh.
- Aged between 19 and 59 years.
- Not currently receiving a comparable benefit from another state or central government scheme.
Women who cannot apply / are expected to be excluded:
- Women below 19 or above 59 years of age. The upper bound reflects the point at which the state's own old-age social security pension normally takes over.
- Women already drawing a similar government cash benefit. The announced design specifically rules out double-dipping across comparable schemes.
- Women who are not permanent residents of Andhra Pradesh.
The income ceiling has not been notified. Andhra Pradesh's welfare schemes generally use the white ration card or a MeeSeva income certificate as the poverty filter, and the announced document list includes an income certificate, which suggests some income test will apply. Until the government publishes the figure, no specific limit should be assumed.

How to apply for Aadabidda Nidhi
No application is open at present. These are the steps to take now so that a claim can be filed the day the window opens.
- Do not file anything yet, and pay nobody. There is no live form, so any agent, common service centre or website charging a fee for Aadabidda Nidhi registration is not offering a government service.
- Get your Aadhaar record correct: name spelling, date of birth and mobile number. Age is the scheme's clearest announced filter, and a wrong date of birth on Aadhaar is slow to fix.
- Open or activate a bank account in your own name and ask the branch to seed it with Aadhaar for DBT. A joint account or a husband's account will not receive the transfer.
- Take a current income certificate and residence certificate from MeeSeva, and keep the caste certificate handy if you hold one.
- Watch the official channels โ ap.gov.in, the Women Development and Child Welfare Department, and your Village or Ward Secretariat, for the notification of guidelines and the application window.
- Apply through the official route only once notified. Andhra Pradesh normally takes welfare applications at Village and Ward Secretariats, at MeeSeva centres and on a scheme portal, all free of charge.
How will payments be made and checked?
The announced mode is Direct Benefit Transfer to the beneficiary's own Aadhaar-seeded account. Once the scheme goes live, status will almost certainly be traceable through the Village or Ward Secretariat, which is where Andhra Pradesh routes beneficiary verification and grievance handling for its welfare schemes, and through whatever scheme portal is notified.
Two things reliably decide whether a DBT scheme pays on time, and both can be sorted out in advance: the bank account must be Aadhaar-seeded, and the name on Aadhaar, the bank account and the certificates must match. Women who have changed their surname after marriage should fix the mismatch now rather than after a payment fails.
Where do I ask about the scheme?
- 1902, the Andhra Pradesh citizen helpline, for the current status of the scheme.
- Village or Ward Secretariat, where the Welfare Assistant handles women's welfare enrolment in the state.
- District Women Development and Child Welfare Officer for departmental questions.
- ap.gov.in, the state portal, where scheme notifications are published.
Honest summary: Aadabidda Nidhi is a real, announced Andhra Pradesh scheme with a stated benefit of Rs 1,500 a month for women aged 19 to 59, and it is not yet an open application process. Anyone telling you otherwise, or asking for money to enrol you, is not telling you the truth.

Frequently asked questions
How much does the Aadabidda Nidhi scheme pay?
Aadabidda Nidhi has been announced as monthly financial assistance of Rs 1,500 to eligible women in Andhra Pradesh, which works out to Rs 18,000 a year, to be paid by Direct Benefit Transfer to the woman's own bank account.
Has the Aadabidda Nidhi scheme started?
Not yet as a live application process. The scheme was announced in 2024, but the detailed guidelines, the eligibility ceilings and the application window have not been notified, so there is no form to fill at present.
Who is expected to be eligible for Aadabidda Nidhi?
Women residents of Andhra Pradesh aged between 19 and 59 who are not already receiving a comparable benefit from another state or central government scheme are the announced target group.
Can I get Aadabidda Nidhi along with a widow or old-age pension?
No. The announced design excludes women already benefiting from comparable state or central assistance programmes, which is why women drawing a social security pension are expected to be outside the scheme.
Where will I apply for Aadabidda Nidhi?
The application route has not been notified. Andhra Pradesh normally delivers women's welfare schemes through the Village and Ward Secretariats, MeeSeva centres and a scheme portal, so watch ap.gov.in and the Women Development and Child Welfare Department for the notification.
Should I pay an agent to register me for Aadabidda Nidhi?
No. No registration is open, so anyone charging a fee to enrol you is running a fraud. State welfare applications in Andhra Pradesh are free and are taken at government counters.
What should I do now to be ready?
Get your Aadhaar details correct, open or activate a bank account in your own name and have it Aadhaar-seeded, and keep a current MeeSeva income certificate. Those three are needed by almost every Andhra Pradesh DBT scheme.
