PM-Vidyalaxmi (Pradhan Mantri Vidyalaxmi)

PM-Vidyalaxmi is a Central Sector scheme that gives students admitted on merit to 860 quality higher education institutions collateral-free, guarantor-free education loans. Government provides a 75 per cent credit guarantee on loans up to Rs 7.5 lakh and a 3 per cent interest subvention on loans up to Rs 10 lakh for families earning up to Rs 8 lakh. Post-Matric Scholarship for ST Students

Post-Matric Scholarship for ST Students is a centrally sponsored scheme of the Ministry of Tribal Affairs for Scheduled Tribe students in Class XI and above whose parental income does not exceed Rs 2.50 lakh a year. It reimburses compulsory non-refundable fees and pays a monthly maintenance allowance of Rs 230 to Rs 1,200 depending on the course group.

National Fellowship and Scholarship for Higher Education of ST Students (NFST)

NFST is a Ministry of Tribal Affairs scheme with two parts. A research fellowship paying Rs 31,000 a month for the first two years and Rs 35,000 thereafter to about 750 Scheduled Tribe M.Phil and PhD scholars a year, and a top-class scholarship covering full tuition for ST students in premier institutes. National Handloom Development Programme (NHDP): Scholarship Component

The National Handloom Development Programme Scholarship, run by the Ministry of Textiles, pays children of registered handloom weavers their full course fees plus a Rs 5,000 monthly stipend, capped at Rs 2 lakh per child a year, for government-funded textile diploma to postgraduate courses. National Overseas Scholarship funds 125 Scheduled Caste and other low-income candidates a year for a Masters or PhD abroad, paying full tuition plus an annual maintenance allowance of 15,400 US dollars, or 9,900 pounds in the UK. National Overseas Scholarship for ST Students is a Ministry of Tribal Affairs scheme giving 20 awards a year to 17 for Scheduled Tribes and 3 for Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups: to study abroad. PM Young Achievers Scholarship Award Scheme for Vibrant India (PM-YASASVI)

PM-YASASVI is an umbrella scholarship scheme of the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment for OBC, EBC and DNT students with family income up to Rs 2.5 lakh a year. PM-USP Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship for College and University Students (CSSS)

PM-USP CSSS is a Ministry of Education scholarship paying Rs 12,000 a year for the first three years of graduation and Rs 20,000 a year at post-graduation level. Pragati Scholarship Scheme is an AICTE scholarship paying Rs 50,000 a year to girl students in AICTE-approved technical degree and diploma courses whose family income is up to Rs 8 lakh.
