What is the MANAGE Internship Programme?

The MANAGE Internship Programme is implemented by the National Institute of Agricultural Extension Management (MANAGE), Hyderabad, an organisation under the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare (Department of Agriculture Research and Education). Who is eligible for the MANAGE internship?

2. Fill in all the mandatory details — personal and institutional information, your research subject area, specialisation and proposed title.
3. Upload the required documents. The HoD recommendation letter, the two-page research proposal, and your attested CV and motivation letter. (File names must be a single word under 20 characters, including the extension.)
4. Verify the details and submit the form.

How to check your application status

Common reasons for rejection

Because this is a research-oriented internship with a small intake, applications are usually turned down for substantive reasons rather than paperwork errors alone.

• Discipline does not match the eligible list. Applicants from fields outside Extension Education, Economics, Sociology, Psychology, MSW, Journalism, Communication or Environmental Science are not considered, regardless of academic strength. Fix: only apply if your PhD or M.Sc is in one of these listed disciplines.

• Proposed research area does not align with MANAGE's current focus. Fix: review the internship page for any indicated focus areas before finalising your proposal topic, and consider proposing a topic closely tied to extension management, agricultural policy or rural development.
• Weak English writing in the proposal or motivation letter. Since fluency in English and writing ability are treated as genuine selection criteria, a proposal or CV with poor written English can weaken an otherwise eligible application. Fix: have your proposal and motivation letter reviewed for clarity and language before submission.
