PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana

PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana is a Central Sector scheme of the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy that gives residential households a rooftop-solar subsidy of up to Rs 78,000 and aims to deliver up to 300 free units of electricity a month. Households apply free at pmsuryaghar.gov.in and the subsidy is paid by DBT after installation.

Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY)

Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana is a Central Sector scheme of the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas that gives adult women from poor households a deposit-free LPG connection worth about Rs 1,600, with the first refill and a gas stove free of cost. Eligible women apply free at pmuy.gov.in or any LPG distributor.

Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana 2.0 (PMUY 2.0)

Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana 2.0 is the second phase of PMUY, launched on 10 August 2021 by the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas. It gives adult women from poor households a deposit-free LPG connection with the first refill and gas stove free, and lets migrants apply with only a self-declaration. Production Linked Incentive (PLI) Scheme for High Efficiency Solar PV Modules

The PLI Scheme for High Efficiency Solar PV Modules is a Rs 24,000 crore central scheme of the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy that pays selected companies production-linked incentives for five years to build gigawatt-scale integrated solar module manufacturing in India. Companies were selected through competitive bidding; individuals cannot apply.

National Renewable Energy Fellowship Scheme (HRD Programme in New and Renewable Energy)

The National Renewable Energy Fellowship Scheme is a Ministry of New and Renewable Energy programme that funds M.Tech, Junior Research Fellow, Senior Research Fellow and post-doctoral study in renewable energy. Stipends run from Rs 12,400 for M.Tech students to Rs 54,000 a month for research associates. Apply through participating institutions listed on hrd.mnre.gov.in.

National Renewable Energy Internship (NREI) Scheme

The National Renewable Energy Internship (NREI) Scheme is run by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy and pays a stipend of Rs 15,000 per month for physical internships lasting two to six months. Up to 20 interns a year from engineering, science, management, law and other streams can apply online, usually in July and January.

PAHAL - Pratyaksh Hanstantrit Labh (Direct Benefit Transfer for LPG)

PAHAL (DBTL) is the Ministry of Petroleum's scheme under which domestic LPG users buy cylinders at market price and receive the LPG subsidy directly in their bank account. Subsidy is limited to 12 refills of 14.2 kg per year. Households with taxable income above Rs 10 lakh get no subsidy. Join through your LPG distributor or mylpg.in.

Phase-II of the Grid Connected Rooftop Solar Programme is a Ministry of New and Renewable Energy scheme that gives Central Financial Assistance to residential consumers for rooftop solar.
