What is the Coaching Help Scheme in Gujarat?

Coaching Help Scheme, known in Gujarati as Coaching Sahay Yojana, is an education assistance scheme of the Gujarat Unreserved Educational and Economical Development Corporation (GUEEDC), which works under the Social Justice and Empowerment Department of the Government of Gujarat. Who is eligible for the Coaching Help Scheme?

You can apply if:

• You are a resident of Gujarat.
• You belong to the unreserved (general) category and can produce a non-reserved category certificate.

• You are currently studying in Class 11 or Class 12 in the science stream.

How much benefit does the Coaching Help Scheme provide?

The Coaching Help Scheme provides Rs 15,000 in an academic year. GUEEDC treats this as a reimbursement-style grant against coaching or tuition costs incurred outside the school or college, so the fee receipt matters as much as the marksheet.

A student who qualifies in Class 11 and again in Class 12 can receive the amount in both years, but each year needs a fresh application with that year's enrolment proof, that year's income certificate and that year's coaching receipt. The corporation does not carry an approval forward automatically.

Payment is made into the bank account submitted with the application. 3. Log in and complete your profile, entering your personal details, category, district, taluka and bank account information exactly as they appear on your documents.
4. From the scheme list, choose the corporation GUEEDC and select the Coaching Help Scheme (Coaching Sahay). Confirm you are not selecting the separate JEE-GUJCET-NEET coaching scheme by mistake.
5. Fill the application form with your Class 10 percentage, current school name, stream, and the name of the coaching class along with the fee paid.

• Class 10 percentage below 70 — the most common rejection, and not curable.
• Income certificate above Rs 4.50 lakh or issued by an authority that is not the Mamlatdar or an equivalent competent officer.
• Category certificate missing, the non-reserved category certificate is what establishes that GUEEDC is the right corporation for your case.
• Wrong stream. An arts or commerce enrolment recorded on the bonafide certificate.
• School fee receipt submitted instead of coaching fee receipt. GUEEDC will not pay institution fees.
