MIDH: How to Check Application and Subsidy Payment Status

This is a supporting guide for Mission for Integrated Development of Horticulture (MIDH). See the main guide for full eligibility, benefits and documents.

MIDH: How to Check Application and Subsidy Payment Status

To check the status of a Mission for Integrated Development of Horticulture (MIDH) application, you use your state channel, not a central portal; MIDH has no all-India application-tracking site for individual farmers. The route is your State Horticulture Mission portal (many states run HortNet or an equivalent) or the district horticulture officer, and the final subsidy lands in your bank account through DBT. This article, a companion to the main Mission for Integrated Development of Horticulture guide, explains where to look at each stage and what each stage means.

First, understand the MIDH pipeline

MIDH assistance moves through fixed stages, and "status" means knowing which one your file has reached:

  1. Application submitted to the State Horticulture Mission or district horticulture office (online where a state portal exists, otherwise at the district office).
  2. Beneficiary selection by the District Mission Committee, MIDH is demand-driven and state-planned, so selection depends on the component being in your state's approved annual action plan with an allocated target.
  3. Pre-inspection and sanction by the district horticulture officer.
  4. Execution, you plant the orchard, erect the polyhouse or install the unit.
  5. Post-inspection of the completed work.
  6. Subsidy release into your bank account via DBT. For area expansion the second instalment is released the following year, subject to an 80% survival rate.

Knowing this pipeline tells you which office to ask, because status lives with whoever holds the file at that moment.

How to check application status on a state portal

Several states run MIDH applications through HortNet or an equivalent state system. Where yours does:

  1. Open your state horticulture / HortNet portal (the district horticulture office can give you the exact address for your state).
  2. Log in with the credentials or registration/application number you received when you applied.
  3. Open the application status or beneficiary section to see the current stage: submitted, selected, sanctioned, inspected or paid.
  4. Note the file/application number and the officer it currently sits with.

Because MIDH has no central farmer portal, the URL and screens differ by state; do not expect a uniform national interface.

How to check status without a portal

Many states accept applications at the district office rather than online. In that case:

  1. Visit or call the district horticulture officer or the State Horticulture Mission — the first point of contact for application status, inspection and subsidy release.
  2. Quote your application/file number and the component (orchard, polyhouse, cold storage, nursery).
  3. Ask specifically whether the District Mission Committee has selected you and whether pre-inspection is done.

How to check subsidy payment status

MIDH funds reach beneficiaries through their bank accounts, and fund flow is tracked on MIDH SURAKSHA, with implementing agencies required to transfer money electronically, preferably by DBT.

  • Bank account / passbook or SMS, the most direct confirmation; the DBT credit shows the sanctioned subsidy amount.
  • District horticulture office; ask them to confirm the release against your file if the credit has not arrived after post-inspection.
  • For credit-linked back-ended components (tissue culture units, cold storage), the subsidy is routed through your financing bank, so check with the bank that sanctioned the loan, not only the horticulture office.

What each status means and what to do next

  • Not selected / not sanctioned: the component may not be in your state's annual action plan this year, or the target is exhausted. Ask the district office when the next cycle opens.
  • Sanctioned, awaiting execution: proceed with the work using accredited planting material where the guidelines require it, then apply for post-inspection.
  • Post-inspection done, payment pending: the file is at the release stage; confirm your Aadhaar-seeded bank account is correct, since DBT fails on a wrong or unseeded account.
  • First instalment paid (area expansion): the second 40% follows next year and depends on an 80% survival rate in the second year.

Where to get help

  • Kisan Call Centre: 1800-180-1551, 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., seven days a week, in 22 languages.
  • State Horticulture Mission / district horticulture officer, application status, inspection and subsidy release.
  • Official portal: midh.gov.in, which carries the operational guidelines and state contacts.

FAQ

Is there one website to track any MIDH application in India? No. MIDH has no central application portal for farmers; you track through your State Horticulture Mission or district office, and several states use HortNet.

My work is inspected but I have no payment: why? Payment via DBT fails on a wrong or unseeded bank account. Confirm your Aadhaar-seeded account with the district office and check MIDH SURAKSHA-tracked release.

Why is my second orchard instalment not released? For area expansion the second 60:40 instalment comes the following year and is subject to an 80% plant survival rate verified at post-inspection.
