If the approved cost of your upgradation is lower than Rs 15,00,000, the subsidy is computed on the lower figure at the same percentage. Keep the quotations conservative and specific. The in-principle approval is issued against them, and a later invoice that departs sharply from the approved quotation is a common cause of a claim being reduced at the verification stage.

How to apply for the PMMSY vessel upgradation scheme

Register first

1. Open the iKhedut portal at ikhedut.gujarat.gov.in.
2. Click Login at the top right, then Beneficiary Registration, and pick your beneficiary type — Farmer, Institutional or Except For the Farmer. Most individual fishermen use one of the latter two.
3. If you chose Institutional or Except For the Farmer, enter the company or entity name and address. Then, for all types, select your district, taluka and village, choose what type of account holder you are, enter your account number and name, solve the captcha and click Save and Next.
4. Enter your mobile number and email, click Send OTP, type the OTP, set and confirm a password, solve the captcha and click Submit.

10. Print the confirmed application and submit the signed printout with original documents to the office named on the acknowledgement, usually the district fisheries office.
