Privacy Policy
Scheme Kosh is an independent information portal about government schemes in India. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we use it.
What we collect
We do not require you to create an account or provide personal information to use Scheme Kosh. The only data we collect is:
- Anonymous analytics: we use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors use the site (which pages are visited, how long people stay, approximate location by country). GA4 uses cookies. You can opt out via your browser settings or a browser extension like Privacy Badger.
- Server logs: our hosting provider (Vercel) logs standard web server data: IP address, browser type, referring page, and timestamps. This is used for security and debugging, not advertising.
Cookies
Scheme Kosh sets no first-party tracking cookies beyond those set by Google Analytics 4. We do not use advertising cookies, remarketing pixels, or social media tracking scripts.
How we use data
We use analytics data only to improve the site: understanding which guides are most useful, where people get stuck, and how to make the site faster and more helpful. We do not sell, rent, or share any data with third parties.
Third-party services
We use the following third-party services that may collect data:
- Google Analytics 4: website analytics. See Google's Privacy Policy.
- Vercel: website hosting. See Vercel's Privacy Policy.
Data retention
GA4 data is retained for 26 months (Google's default). Server logs are retained by Vercel for as long as your account is active. We do not retain any personal data ourselves.
Your rights
Since we do not store personal data, there is nothing to access, correct, or delete. If you have concerns about the data collected by our third-party services, we recommend using the opt-out tools provided by those services.
