What is the Mukhyamantri Anuprati Coaching Yojana?

Mukhyamantri Anuprati Coaching Yojana is a Rajasthan state scheme run by the Social Justice and Empowerment Department that pays for competitive-exam coaching for students from Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Other Backward Class, Most Backward Class, Economically Weaker Section and minority families. Selected students attend an empanelled coaching institute without paying any tuition, because the department settles the fee directly with the institute.

The scheme is widely known by its transliterated name, Anuprati Yojana, and carries the older Anuprati brand deliberately. The original Anuprati Yojana, which ran for years before the restructure, gave a cash incentive to students of these categories after they cleared stages of the Civil Services Examination and the Rajasthan Administrative Service examination, or secured admission to an IIT, IIM, AIIMS, NIT, IISER or a national law university. That design rewarded success after the fact. The Anuprati Coaching Yojana moved the money to the front of the process, on the reasoning that a student from a low-income family usually cannot afford coaching in the first place.

According to the Social Justice and Empowerment Department, 30,000 coaching seats are allotted in a year across the covered exam streams, with the single largest block going to JEE and NEET preparation. The rest is spread across UPSC Civil Services, Rajasthan Public Service Commission examinations including RAS, sub-inspector and constable recruitment, REET, CLAT, banking and SSC examinations.

Who is eligible for the Anuprati scheme?

You can apply if:

  • You are domiciled in Rajasthan and hold a Rajasthan bonafide or domicile certificate.
  • You belong to the Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Other Backward Class, Most Backward Class, Economically Weaker Section or a notified minority community.
  • Your total annual family income from all sources is Rs 8 lakh or less.
  • You meet the academic qualification for the exam stream you are choosing. A graduation degree is required for the UPSC Civil Services and RAS streams, while Class 10 or Class 12 marks decide merit for the school-level and entrance-exam streams.
  • You have a Jan Aadhaar record, because the Rajasthan SSO application draws family details from it.

You cannot apply if:

  • You are not domiciled in Rajasthan, even if you study in the state.
  • Your annual family income exceeds Rs 8 lakh.
  • You belong to the general category and do not hold an EWS certificate.
  • You have already taken the Anuprati coaching benefit once. The benefit is one-time and the affidavit filed with the application makes a repeat claim a false declaration.
  • You are already enrolled in the same coaching course under another government scheme for the same period.

Merit within each category and exam stream is what actually decides selection. Meeting the eligibility bar only puts you into the merit list; the 30,000 seats are filled from the top of each stream's list downward, with category reservation applied.

How much benefit does the Anuprati scheme provide?

The benefit has two parts.

Coaching fee. The department pays the institute directly. Published rates differ by exam and by course length. A one-year UPSC Civil Services course draws up to Rs 75,000 at a reputed empanelled institute, with a lower slab around Rs 50,000 elsewhere. Engineering and medical entrance coaching, which runs over two years, is funded in the region of Rs 55,000 to Rs 70,000 a year. Short courses are funded proportionately, around Rs 15,000 for a four-month REET course and Rs 10,000 for a four-month constable examination course.

Food and lodging allowance. A student who has to leave home and live in another city for the coaching gets up to Rs 40,000 per year, paid by Direct Benefit Transfer into the student's own Aadhaar-seeded bank account. A student attending coaching in their home town does not draw this component.

Nothing under the scheme is paid as cash in hand for tuition, and no selected student should be paying an institute out of pocket.

How to apply for the Anuprati coaching scheme

  1. Create or log in to your account at sso.rajasthan.gov.in. A Jan Aadhaar number, Bhamashah number or Google account can be used to register.
  2. From the SSO dashboard, open the SJMS SMS application and select Anuprati Coaching Scheme from the list of Social Justice and Empowerment Department schemes.
  3. Choose the exam stream you want coaching for, and then the empanelled institute and city from the dropdown list shown for that stream.
  4. Fill in personal details, address, category, family income and academic marks. Most of the family data auto-fills from Jan Aadhaar; correct anything that is out of date in Jan Aadhaar first, because the department verifies against it.
  5. Upload the scanned domicile certificate, caste or EWS certificate, income certificate, marksheets, bank passbook and affidavit. Keep each file within the size limit shown on the upload screen.
  6. Submit the form and save the Application ID shown on the acknowledgement. You cannot track anything without it.
  7. Watch sje.rajasthan.gov.in for the exam-wise merit list. If your name appears, report to the allotted institute within the reporting window stated in the list.

There is no offline form. A student without a computer or smartphone should go to a nearby e-Mitra kiosk, which files exactly the same online application. No fee is charged by the department itself.

How to check your Anuprati application status

  1. Log in again at sso.rajasthan.gov.in and reopen the SJMS SMS application.
  2. Open Application Status and enter your Application ID.
  3. The screen shows whether the form is pending with the district office, verified, provisionally selected or rejected.

Merit lists are also published as PDFs on sje.rajasthan.gov.in, arranged by exam stream and category. Check both, because a name can appear on the merit list before the online status refreshes.

Why Anuprati applications get rejected

  • Income certificate above Rs 8 lakh or issued by an authority the department does not accept.
  • Jan Aadhaar mismatch — the category or family composition on Jan Aadhaar differs from what the form claims. Fix Jan Aadhaar first, then reapply in the next window.
  • Domicile certificate missing, the single commonest documentary gap.
  • Caste certificate in a parent's name only, where the certificate for the student is required.
  • Merit rank below the cut-off for that exam stream and category. This is not a defect in the application; it simply means the 30,000 seats filled above you.
  • Duplicate claim where the student has already drawn the benefit once.
  • Not reporting to the allotted institute within the reporting window, which forfeits the seat to the waiting list.

Where to complain about the Anuprati scheme

  • Social Justice and Empowerment Department helpline: 0141-2226638
  • District Social Justice and Empowerment Officer in your district headquarters, for institute-level problems such as a coaching centre demanding money from a selected student
  • Rajasthan Sampark grievance portal, for a written complaint with a tracking number

Applying for Anuprati is free. No agent, consultant or coaching institute can charge you a fee to get your name onto the merit list, and the department does not accept applications through any private website.

Frequently asked questions

How much does Mukhyamantri Anuprati Coaching Yojana pay?

Mukhyamantri Anuprati Coaching Yojana pays the coaching fee directly to the empanelled institute, up to Rs 75,000 for a one-year UPSC Civil Services course, and adds up to Rs 40,000 a year as a food and lodging allowance for students who move to another city. Rates differ by exam stream — roughly Rs 15,000 for a four-month REET course and Rs 10,000 for a four-month constable course.

Who is eligible for the Anuprati scheme in Rajasthan?

Students domiciled in Rajasthan who belong to the SC, ST, OBC, MBC, EWS or minority categories and whose annual family income is Rs 8 lakh or less are eligible. Each exam stream also has its own academic qualification, such as a graduation degree for the UPSC and RAS streams.

Does the student pay any coaching fee?

No. The Social Justice and Empowerment Department transfers the approved coaching fee straight to the empanelled institute, so the selected student pays nothing for tuition. If an institute demands money from a selected student, that is a ground for complaint to the district Social Justice officer.

How many students are selected under the Anuprati scheme?

30,000 students are selected in a year across all exam streams, with a large block reserved for JEE and NEET coaching. Selection is by merit list per exam stream, published on sje.rajasthan.gov.in.

Can a student take the Anuprati benefit twice?

No. The Anuprati coaching benefit can be taken only once in a lifetime, and applicants sign an affidavit to that effect. A student who has already used the coaching benefit for one exam stream cannot apply again for another.

Is there an offline application form for Anuprati?

No. Applications are accepted only online through the Rajasthan SSO portal under the SJMS SMS module. Students without their own device can use an e-Mitra kiosk, which files the same online form.

What was the last date to apply for Anuprati coaching?

The 2025-26 round closed on 14 September 2025. The Social Justice and Empowerment Department issues a fresh notification with a new window each academic year, so the current last date must be checked on sje.rajasthan.gov.in.

Is the Anuprati scheme the same as the old cash award for clearing exams?

Not exactly. The original Anuprati Yojana paid a cash incentive to SC, ST, OBC and minority students of Rajasthan after they cleared stages of exams such as the IAS and RAS or won admission to institutions such as the IITs, IIMs, AIIMS and NITs. The scheme was later restructured into the Mukhyamantri Anuprati Coaching Yojana, which pays for coaching up front instead.
