What was the Rajasthan Gruha Lakshmi Guarantee Scheme?

Rajasthan Gruha Lakshmi Guarantee Scheme, also written as Grah Lakshmi Guarantee Yojana, was an election guarantee announced in October 2023 during the campaign for the Rajasthan Assembly election held that December. The announcement promised Rs 10,000 a year to the woman head of every household in Rajasthan, to be paid in instalments across the year, and separately promised LPG cylinders at Rs 500 to around 1.05 crore families in the state.

Rajasthan Gruha Lakshmi Guarantee Scheme was never notified as a government scheme. No department was designated as the nodal department, no guidelines or rules were issued, no budget head was created, no portal was launched and no application was ever accepted. The government formed after the December 2023 election did not carry the announcement forward under this name.

This page exists because the name still circulates. Searches for "Gruha Lakshmi Yojana Rajasthan registration" remain common, and a steady supply of unofficial websites, YouTube videos and WhatsApp forwards offer registration links, application forms and "list checking" for a scheme that has no legal existence. Every one of those is either an advertising trap or an outright fraud.

Can anyone apply for the Gruha Lakshmi Guarantee Scheme?

Nobody can apply. There is no eligibility test to pass, because there is no scheme to be eligible for.

• No woman in Rajasthan is eligible, whether or not she is the head of her household, because no beneficiary category was ever notified.
• No application route exists, not on the SSO portal, not on the Jan Soochna portal, not at an e-Mitra kiosk, and not at any Women and Child Development Department office.
• No document is required, and no official will ever ask you for one under this name. If someone does, that is the clearest possible sign of a fraud.
• No beneficiary list exists, so there is nothing to check your name against.

The only safe rule is this: if a Rajasthan scheme is real, it appears on jansoochna.rajasthan.gov.in with beneficiary data and on the nodal department's own site with a notification order. Gruha Lakshmi appears on neither.

How to check whether a Rajasthan scheme is real before you apply

1. Search for the scheme on jansoochna.rajasthan.gov.in, the state's public information portal, which publishes scheme-wise beneficiary and eligibility information for hundreds of state schemes. A scheme that pays money and is not listed there deserves suspicion.
2. Open the nodal department's own site, for a women's scheme that is wcd.rajasthan.gov.in, and look for the notification or order that created the scheme. Real schemes have a dated order number.
3. Check whether the scheme appears in the SSO portal's citizen application list at sso.rajasthan.gov.in, or in the service list at an e-Mitra kiosk. Rajasthan routes almost every citizen benefit through one of these.
4. Call the state helpline 181 and ask. The helpline can confirm whether a named scheme is live.
5. If money is being demanded to "register" you, report it on the state anti-corruption helpline 1064.

What does Rajasthan actually offer instead?

Several real, notified schemes cover the ground the Gruha Lakshmi announcement described. These are worth knowing precisely because the promised scheme is not available.

On subsidised cooking gas. Rajasthan announced that Ujjwala and BPL beneficiaries would receive LPG cylinders at Rs 450 from 1 January 2024. This is real and running, but it is narrower than the Gruha Lakshmi announcement: it is keyed to Ujjwala and BPL status rather than covering 1.05 crore families generally, and the price point is Rs 450 rather than Rs 500. Eligibility is checked against the Jan Aadhaar record and the LPG connection.

On direct payments to women. The state runs a set of notified schemes that pay women and girls directly:

• Mukhyamantri Rajshree Yojana, which pays instalments for a girl child from birth through her schooling.
• Mukhyamantri Ekal Nari Samman Pension Yojana, a monthly pension for widowed, divorced, separated and single women.
• Indira Gandhi Matritva Poshan Yojana, nutrition support for pregnant and lactating women.
• The state's old-age and specially-abled social security pensions, paid monthly.

Every one of these pays into the bank account seeded in the family's Jan Aadhaar record, and every one has a real application route through SSO or e-Mitra. If you came here looking for household income support for a woman, one of these is almost certainly the scheme you actually want.
