What the numbers show

PM MITRA has moved from site selection to building. In its Lok Sabha reply of 11 August 2026, the Ministry of Textiles said MoUs are signed with all seven states, all land has been acquired and every park has environmental clearance. Detailed project reports worth Rs 13,537 crore have been finalised, and the states have received Rs 68,590 crore of investment interest from companies.

State differences

Madhya Pradesh is clearly ahead on investment interest, with Rs 19,846 crore for the Dhar park, followed by Gujarat (Rs 13,094 crore) and Maharashtra (Rs 12,000 crore). Karnataka (Rs 1,700 crore) and Tamil Nadu (Rs 2,067.90 crore) are at the low end. Dhar also has the most land available at 2,158 acres. On the ground, Telangana reports the most internal infrastructure work completed, and Uttar Pradesh and Gujarat state governments have spent the most on external infrastructure such as approach roads and water lines.

Central money released

The scheme outlay is Rs 4,445 crore for 2021-22 to 2027-28. A reply of 21 July 2026 showed Rs 190 crore released by the Centre, to four parks: Amravati, Dhar, Virudhunagar and Warangal. The other three had no release listed at that date. Central support is tied to progress on each park, so releases tend to follow construction.

What the figures do not tell you

Investment interest is a measure of proposals and MoUs, not money invested or factories running. The two Lok Sabha replies give slightly different state figures for investment interest, a few weeks apart, though both total Rs 68,590 crore. This page uses the newer 11 August 2026 figures for investment and land, and the 21 July 2026 reply for funds released. Job numbers in official documents are projections for fully built parks.

Where to check the latest numbers

The Ministry of Textiles answers questions on PM MITRA in almost every session of Parliament, and the replies are on sansad.in. PIB also publishes releases when parks reach milestones such as a foundation stone or plot allotment.
