Where to log in

SSSJKL is administered by AICTE and runs on its own portal, not the National Scholarship Portal. There are two web addresses you will use:

1. aicte-jk-scholarship-gov.in. The application portal, for registration, document upload, choice filling and allotment.
2. css.aicte-india.org, the AICTE Common Scholarship / grievance login, where post-allotment and payment queries are raised.

Log in with the email and password created during new-candidate registration. If you never verified the email link sent at sign-up, the account stays inactive and no status will show, verify the link first.

Reading each stage on the dashboard

The application dashboard shows the stage your file has reached. According to the AICTE process, these are, in order:

1. Registered; your account exists and the form is started or submitted, but nothing has been checked yet.
2. Document verified. You have attended in-person verification at a Facilitation-cum-Document Verification Centre (FDVC) and your uploads have been cleared. If this stays blank after your FDVC date, use the re-verification window AICTE opens after each round.
3. Choice filled — you have listed institutions and courses in order of preference within your stream's window. Class 12 (HSC) and engineering-diploma applicants have separate windows.
4. Allotted, a seat has been assigned through merit and your choices. You must accept the allotted seat on the portal.
5. Joined, you have taken admission and uploaded the joining report, which triggers release of the academic fee to your institution.

Checking payment status

SSSJKL has two money flows, and they are tracked differently:

• Academic fee (up to Rs 30,000 for general degrees, Rs 1.25 lakh for professional, Rs 3 lakh for medical) is paid directly to your institution against the uploaded joining report. If the fee has not reached the college, first confirm your joining report shows as accepted on the dashboard.
• Maintenance allowance (Rs 1 lakh a year) is paid to you by Direct Benefit Transfer into your Aadhaar-seeded bank account, in instalments. If the DBT has not arrived, verify that your bank account is seeded to your Aadhaar and active, an unseeded or dormant account is the most common cause of a failed credit.

What to do when a stage is stuck

1. Verification not moving: re-check within the re-verification window; a document that was blurred, wrongly cropped or the wrong file will block the stage.
2. No allotment after choice filling: allotment is by merit and choices, not first-come-first-served, so a wait is normal until the round result is published: check the portal for the result date rather than assuming rejection.
3. Fee or maintenance delay: raise a ticket on the AICTE grievance login at css.aicte-india.org, quoting your application number.
4. Login or technical error: email technical support at helpdesk1@aicte-india.org.

FAQ

Can I check SSSJKL status on the National Scholarship Portal? No. SSSJKL status is only on the AICTE portal at aicte-jk-scholarship-gov.in, even though the scheme sits under the PM-USP umbrella that NSP also lists.

Why is my maintenance allowance delayed even though the fee reached my college? The two flows are independent. The fee goes to the institution, the allowance comes to your Aadhaar-seeded account by DBT. A delay in one does not affect the other; check your bank seeding for the allowance.

My verification shows incomplete: is my application rejected? Not necessarily. AICTE opens a re-verification window after each round; use it before treating the application as closed.
