Rashtriya Vayoshri Yojana: How to Check Application and Device Delivery Status

This is a supporting guide for Rashtriya Vayoshri Yojana (RVY). See the main guide for full eligibility, benefits and documents.

How RVY status works, there is no online self-service tracker

Rashtriya Vayoshri Yojana (RVY) does not have an online beneficiary login where you type an application number and see your status. Beneficiaries are identified offline at ALIMCO assessment camps by the state government and district administration, so status is tracked through the acknowledgement slip you receive at the camp and through the district social welfare office, not through a self-service portal. This spoke explains exactly how to follow up between assessment and delivery.

For eligibility and the device list, see the parent Rashtriya Vayoshri Yojana guide. In one line: RVY gives free assisted-living devices to BPL senior citizens aged 60 and above with monthly income up to Rs 15,000, implemented solely by ALIMCO.

The RVY journey, knowing which stage you are at

Because there is no status code system, you track progress by stage:

  1. Assessment done, slip issued. At the ALIMCO camp your details and the infirmity are recorded, and you receive an acknowledgement slip listing the devices sanctioned and an expected distribution date. This slip is your only reference: keep it safe.
  2. Manufacturing/procurement. ALIMCO makes or procures the sanctioned devices in the sizes recorded at the camp. This is why distribution usually follows some weeks after assessment.
  3. Distribution camp / doorstep delivery. You attend the notified distribution camp to receive and be fitted with the devices. Beneficiaries aged 80 years and above get doorstep delivery instead of attending.

Knowing which stage you are at tells you whether to simply wait (manufacturing) or to follow up (distribution date passed).

How to check your status

  1. Keep and read the acknowledgement slip issued at assessment, it carries your beneficiary reference and the expected distribution date.
  2. Contact the district social welfare officer or the district collectorate office that co-organised the camp, quoting your slip reference. This is the correct first point of contact for camp schedules and non-delivery.
  3. Call the Elderline helpline on 14567 if the distribution camp date has passed and you have not received your devices. Elderline is the national senior-citizens helpline run under Atal Vayo Abhyuday Yojana, the umbrella scheme RVY sits inside.

What each situation means and what to do

  • Assessment done, waiting: normal. ALIMCO is manufacturing/procuring your device sizes. Wait until the expected distribution date on the slip.
  • Distribution date passed, no device — follow up with the district social welfare officer, then Elderline on 14567.
  • You are 80+ and expecting doorstep delivery, confirm your address on record with the district office so delivery reaches you.
  • No slip received, you may not have been formally registered; check with the camp organiser or district social welfare office whether your assessment was recorded.

Checking scheme-level progress (context, not personal status)

The Department of Social Justice and Empowerment publishes overall numbers rather than individual tracking. As of February 2026, it reports that over 35 lakh devices have been distributed to roughly 6.76 lakh beneficiaries across more than 318 camps. These figures show the scheme is active but do not reflect your personal case, for that, use the acknowledgement slip and the district office.

Why there is no OTP or online payment step

RVY supplies devices, not cash; there is no DBT, no bank seeding and no online payment status to check. No official, agent or camp volunteer may charge you a registration or "processing" fee. If anyone asks for money or an OTP, it is a fraud; report it to the district social welfare office or on 14567.

FAQ

Is there a website to check my RVY application status? No. RVY has no online self-registration or status portal for individuals; track via the acknowledgement slip and the district social welfare office.

How long after assessment do devices arrive? Usually some weeks, because ALIMCO manufactures or procures the sanctioned sizes; the expected date is on your slip.

I am over 80 to do I go to the distribution camp? No. Beneficiaries aged 80 and above receive doorstep delivery; confirm your address with the district office.

Who do I call if my devices never arrive? The district social welfare officer first, then Elderline on 14567.
