Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana: How to Check Application and Payment Status
This is a supporting guide for Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana (RKVY). See the main guide for full eligibility, benefits and documents.
Where to check RKVY status; two different portals
There is no single national "check status" page for Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana (RKVY) because it works on two levels. Project-level (state and institutional) status lives on the central portal rkvy.da.gov.in; a farmer's own component subsidy status, a drip system, soil card or farm machine: lives on the state agriculture or DBT portal, since farmer benefits are delivered by state departments, not the Centre. This spoke explains both.
For how RKVY is structured and why farmers apply through the state, see the parent Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana guide. In short: RKVY funds state projects 60:40 and farmer benefits flow through state component schemes such as Per Drop More Crop.
Checking project status on rkvy.da.gov.in
The central RKVY portal is a monitoring dashboard for approved state projects, not a farmer login. Use it to see the scheme's overall progress:
- Open rkvy.da.gov.in.
- Go to the dashboard or MIS section.
- Select your state and financial year to see approved, ongoing and completed projects.
- Use the Krishi Mapper link to view geo-tagged assets created under the scheme.
The portal reports scheme-wide totals (for example, thousands of approved projects split between ongoing and completed). This tells you whether your state's projects are moving, but it will not show your personal application.
Checking your own component application status
For a benefit you applied for as a farmer: drip/sprinkler under Per Drop More Crop, a soil test under Soil Health and Fertility, or machinery under SMAM; check on your state's farmer portal using the application or registration number you received at submission:
- Open your state DBT/agriculture portal, for example MahaDBT (Maharashtra) at mahadbt.maharashtra.gov.in, Raita Mitra (Karnataka), or your state's equivalent.
- Log in with the credentials or registration/application number from your application.
- Open Application Status or My Applications.
- Read the stage shown against your application.
Because each state runs its own portal, the exact menu labels differ. If you cannot find the tracker, the district agriculture officer who did your field verification can pull up the status.
What the common status stages mean
State portals typically show a progression like this. Exact wording varies by state, so treat these as the general meaning, not fixed codes:
- Submitted / Under Scrutiny. The application is filed and waiting for the department to examine it.
- Field Verification Pending, an agriculture or horticulture officer must inspect the plot before sanction.
- Sanctioned / Approved, the benefit is cleared; installation or purchase can proceed if not already done.
- Post-Installation Inspection — for equipment components, an officer records that the drip system or machine is in place.
- Payment / DBT Initiated, the subsidy has been sent to your Aadhaar-seeded bank account.
- Rejected. The application was not accepted; the portal or the district office should give the reason.
Checking the DBT payment
RKVY component subsidies are released only by Direct Benefit Transfer into an Aadhaar-seeded bank account. To confirm payment:
- Check the Payment/DBT tab on the state portal for a transaction reference.
- Verify the credit in the bank account linked to your application, or via passbook/SMS.
- If the status shows "DBT Initiated" but no credit arrives, the usual cause is that the account is not Aadhaar-seeded, get it seeded at your bank branch.
If the status will not update or is stuck
- Field verification pending for weeks; contact the district agriculture officer to schedule the inspection.
- General queries in your language, call the Kisan Call Centre on 1800-180-1551.
- Project-level or scheme questions, the RKVY office on 011-23070964 or email sorkvy-dac@gov.in.
- State-level application questions. The state nodal officer for RKVY.
No agent can move your status and no official will ask you for an OTP; RKVY money is released only by DBT.
FAQ
Can I check status on rkvy.da.gov.in with my application number? No. That portal tracks state projects; your personal application is on the state farmer portal.
Why does DBT say sent but I got nothing? Most often the bank account is not Aadhaar-seeded; fix it at your branch.
Is there one national helpline for status? Use the Kisan Call Centre, 1800-180-1551, for guidance; the district agriculture office handles your specific case.
