How a learner uses Skill India Digital Hub
What the numbers show
Skill India Digital Hub was launched in September 2023 to put the whole skilling system on one platform: courses, training centres, assessment and certificates. The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship told the Rajya Sabha on 1 April 2026 that 33,47,294 PMKVY candidates were enrolled through SIDH, 23,74,295 PM Vishwakarma candidates had been certified, and 32,46,385 learners had come in through digital learning partners. Another 11,01,996 were enrolled under other government schemes.
Who runs the training
SIDH had 13,035 training providers approved after desktop assessment and 2,626 assessment agencies. Uttar Pradesh alone had 2,828 training providers, far more than any other state. Rajasthan had 1,455, Maharashtra 1,294 and Madhya Pradesh 1,046.
State differences
Uttar Pradesh leads PMKVY enrolment with 6,66,676 candidates, followed by Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan. The pattern changes for PM Vishwakarma: Karnataka has 4,90,149 certified candidates, well ahead of Rajasthan with 2,38,085. Tamil Nadu and West Bengal show no PM Vishwakarma certifications on SIDH at all, although both have large PMKVY and digital learning numbers.
Money spent
Development of the platform was funded under the SANKALP scheme, with Rs 2,33,78,30,361 disbursed against approvals of Rs 2,55,98,53,058 till 2024-25. Annual maintenance rose from Rs 21.02 crore in 2023-24 to Rs 37.44 crore in 2024-25.
What the figures do not tell you
Enrolment is not completion. The reply gives enrolments for PMKVY and other schemes but certifications only for PM Vishwakarma, so it is not possible to say how many PMKVY learners finished. The figures also do not show how many learners found jobs through the Job Exchange page.
Where to check the latest numbers
