What is the Full Medical Checkup Assistance Scheme?

Full Medical Checkup Assistance Scheme is a preventive-health scheme of the Gujarat Labour Welfare Board, the statutory body under the Labour, Skill Development and Employment Department, Government of Gujarat. Who is eligible for the Gujarat full medical checkup scheme?

You can be covered if:

• You are a Shramyogi in Gujarat's organised sector: employed in a factory, company or establishment covered by the Gujarat Labour Welfare Fund.
• You are a male worker above 45 years or a female worker above 35 years.
• Your organisation has paid the Labour Welfare Fund contribution regularly for the past year.
• Your name appears in the worker list uploaded by the establishment on the Sanman Portal.
• You have an Aadhaar number and the establishment's Labour Welfare Fund account number for registration.

You cannot apply / are not eligible if:

• You work in the unorganised sector or are self-employed. No Labour Welfare Fund contribution exists in your name, so the Board has nothing to verify.
• You are a male worker aged 45 or below, or a female worker aged 35 or below. The age bars are hard cut-offs, not guidelines.
• Your employer's Labour Welfare Fund contribution is in arrears. This is the single most common blocker and the worker cannot fix it personally. The establishment must clear its dues first.
• You are a registered construction worker under the Gujarat Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board. GBOCWWB runs its own health schemes; a worker holding an e-Nirman card should apply there.
• You are a government employee outside the Labour Welfare Fund's scope.
• You have already taken the funded check-up in the current cycle. The benefit is designed as an annual examination, not a repeat facility.

There is no income limit and no educational requirement. Eligibility rests entirely on organised-sector employment, contribution status and age.

How to apply for the full medical checkup assistance scheme

1. Open the Sanman Portal at sanman.gujarat.gov.in, the Gujarat Labour Welfare Board's online application system linked from glwb.gujarat.gov.in.
2. Under the Citizen Login tab, click "Please Register Here" and register using your Aadhaar number, user type and the establishment's Labour Welfare Fund account number. Complete OTP verification and set a password.
3. Log in and select the Full Medical Checkup Assistance Scheme from the list of Gujarat Labour Welfare Board schemes.
4. Fill the online application form; name, date of birth, establishment name and LWF registration number, designation and contact details.
5. Upload the supporting documents, Aadhaar, age proof and your establishment's identity card, and submit the form.
6. Ask your employer or HR department to upload the establishment's list of eligible workers in Excel format on the Sanman Portal. Without that list an individual application usually cannot be processed, because the Board sanctions the check-up establishment-wise.
7. Wait for the Board's in-principle approval, then complete the medical examination within 30 days. Note the date on the approval message — the 30-day clock starts there.
8. Collect and keep the medical report. The examining facility submits its claim, and the employer settles its 25 per cent share of Rs 1,950.

A worker whose employer refuses to upload the list has no way around it on the portal. The practical route is to raise it with the establishment's welfare officer first, and then with the Gujarat Labour Welfare Board on the toll-free number, because non-payment of Labour Welfare Fund dues is itself a statutory default.

What does the Rs 1,950 check-up cover?

The Gujarat Labour Welfare Board describes the benefit as a full body check-up rather than publishing a fixed test-by-test list, and the exact panel is set by the empanelled facility that conducts the camp or examination. Because the Board has not published the test schedule, this guide does not list specific tests: ask the examining facility for its panel before the appointment so you know what is and is not included.

• Age proof mismatch between Aadhaar and the establishment's service record.
