What is the Sanedo agricultural equipment assistance scheme?

A full-size 45 HP tractor is out of reach for a farmer with two or three hectares, and hiring one for every operation eats into margins. • You have not drawn Sanedo assistance in the previous 10 years.

You cannot apply if:

• You do not own agricultural land — tenant farmers, sharecroppers and agricultural labourers are not eligible, because the 7/12 record is the basis of verification.

Joint holders are handled case by case at the taluka office. Where land is recorded jointly in several names, the office usually requires a written no-objection from the other holders so that only one claim goes forward against the same survey number.

How to apply for the Sanedo scheme on iKhedut

1. Open the iKhedut portal at ikhedut.gujarat.gov.in during an announced application window. Windows are opened scheme by scheme and closed when the budget for the year is committed.
2. Select Schemes, then Agriculture Schemes (Khetivadi ni Yojanao), and find the Sanedo / farm machinery entry in the list.
3. Choose whether you are a registered or not registered applicant. A new farmer picks "not registered", fills the registration form, and receives an application number.
4. Fill the application with your Aadhaar number, mobile number, district, taluka, village, survey number, area of holding and bank account details.

The Sanedo scheme has no fully paper application route — the department accepts only iKhedut entries. Farmers without internet access have two practical options:

1. Visit a Village Computer Entrepreneur (VCE) or common service centre in your village and ask them to file the iKhedut form for you.
2. Visit your taluka agriculture office or the Gram Panchayat e-Gram centre, where staff routinely help farmers file iKhedut applications during an open window.
3. Carry Aadhaar, the 7/12 extract and the bank passbook to either place, since the online form cannot be completed without those three numbers.

How much benefit does the Sanedo scheme provide?

The Sanedo scheme provides 25% of the total purchase cost, capped at Rs 25,000. On a machine priced at Rs 80,000 the subsidy works out to Rs 20,000; on a machine priced at Rs 1,20,000 the subsidy is capped at Rs 25,000 rather than Rs 30,000. There is no additional running or maintenance component, and no interest subvention — the scheme is a one-time capital contribution.

Payment is made after purchase, not before. Farmers therefore need to arrange the full purchase price first, through savings, a Kisan Credit Card limit or a cooperative bank loan, and are reimbursed the subsidy share afterwards.

How to check your Sanedo application status

1. Open the Application Status page on ikhedut.gujarat.gov.in.
2. Enter your application number and the confirming detail asked for on screen.
3. Read the current stage: submitted, document verification at taluka, pre-approved, invoice verification, or payment released.
4. If a stage stays unchanged for more than a few weeks during an active window, contact the taluka agriculture office quoting the application number.

Why Sanedo applications get rejected

• Printed application never submitted at the taluka office. An online entry alone is not a complete application — this is the single most common failure.
• Name mismatch between Aadhaar, the 7/12 record and the bank account.
• Purchase made before pre-approval, which makes the invoice ineligible.
• Budget exhausted for the year; applications are processed in the order received and surplus applications lapse when the allocation is committed.
• Repeat claim inside 10 years against the same holding.
• Invoice from a dealer or model outside the approved list, or an invoice without the machine serial number.

Most rejections for mismatch can be fixed. Correct the bank name spelling or the Aadhaar name first, then re-apply in the next window rather than arguing the rejected application.

Key dates and grievance route

Application windows for iKhedut agriculture schemes are announced on the portal each financial year and normally open ahead of the kharif season. The department does not publish a permanent last date; the window is the deadline. Farmers should check the portal home page at the start of the financial year.
