Why FutureSkills Prime incentive claims fail

FutureSkills Prime has no admission "rejection", registration is free and open, so almost every failure is an incentive claim that does not pay out. Claims fail because the assessment was not cleared, a module-wise cut-off was missed, the course was not on the eligible list, the fee was paid by an employer instead of the learner, the Rs 12,000 ceiling was already exhausted, bank or identity details did not verify, or the claim was late. Reason 1: Assessment not cleared

The certificate is the trigger for the incentive: enrolment alone earns nothing. A claim from someone who registered and browsed but never cleared a paid eligible course's assessment cannot pay.

The fix: complete the course and clear the assessment, then claim. Collect the NASSCOM certification issued on passing; it is the document the claim is built on.

Reason 2: Module-wise cut-off missed

For a NOS-aligned deep-skilling course, a candidate must score at least 50% on each individual module and 50% overall. A learner can pass overall yet fall below 50% on one module — and still not qualify.

The fix: check your module-wise scores, not just the aggregate. If a module is below 50%, re-attempt the assessment where the course permits, so every module clears the cut-off.

Reason 3: Course not on the eligible incentive list

Not every one of the 2,800-plus courses carries a government incentive. A claim against a course that is not on the eligible list will not pay.

The fix: before you pay, open the course page on futureskillsprime.in and confirm it is marked eligible for the Government of India incentive. The course page is the authoritative source for both eligibility and the incentive amount.

Reason 4: Fee paid by an employer or third party

The incentive reimburses the learner's own spend. If your employer or a third party paid the course fee, you have no personal outlay to reimburse and the claim fails.

The fix: pay the eligible course fee yourself and keep the payment receipt in your own name. An employer-sponsored enrolment does not qualify for the learner incentive.

Reason 5: Rs 12,000 ceiling already exhausted

The total incentive a learner can avail is capped at Rs 12,000. A learner may claim more than once, but nothing is payable beyond the ceiling.

The fix: track your cumulative incentive across claims. Once you have drawn Rs 12,000 in total, further claims will not pay, regardless of new courses completed.

Reason 6: Bank or identity verification mismatch

The incentive is credited to the learner's own bank account after identity verification. A mismatch between the profile and the uploaded Aadhaar or other government photo ID, or wrong bank details, stops the payout.

The fix: make the name on your FutureSkills Prime profile, your government photo ID and your bank account match exactly. Re-check the account number and IFSC before submitting the claim.

Reason 7: Claim submitted after the window

Each course's incentive page states a claim window. A claim filed after that window for the course will not be processed.

The fix: submit the claim from the Government of India Incentives section of your dashboard as soon as you have the certificate, well within the stated window.

How to raise a stuck claim

FutureSkills Prime routes course, assessment and incentive queries through its in-platform support and ticketing option. It is claimed by the learner from the learner's own dashboard and paid into the learner's own account.
