What is the coaching assistance scheme for Scheduled Caste students?

The Coaching Assistance Scheme for Scheduled Caste Students for Pre-Exam Preparation like NEET, JEE, GUJCET is a Gujarat state scheme that pays part of a student's private coaching fee. The Government of Gujarat launched the scheme in 2014-15 for Scheduled Caste students preparing for competitive entrance examinations, and it is implemented by the Director of Scheduled Caste Welfare for the development of Scheduled Castes in the state.

• Be registered under the Mumbai Public Trust Act 1950, the Companies Act 1956, or the Shops and Establishments Act 1948.

An institute that fails any of these conditions cannot be used for the scheme, however good its results, so confirm the institute's registration and biometric attendance system before you pay any fee.

How to apply for the coaching assistance scheme

1. Visit the nearest office of the Deputy Director, Scheduled Caste Welfare in your district. This is an offline scheme; the office is the point of application.
2. Collect the application form from that office, or download it from the Directorate of Scheduled Caste Welfare website at sje.gujarat.gov.in/dscw/.
3. Fill in every mandatory field and paste a recent passport-size photograph on the form. Incomplete forms are returned.
4.
