What is Mukhyamantri Yuva Karya Prashikshan Yojana?

Mukhyamantri Yuva Karya Prashikshan Yojana is a work-training scheme of the Government of Maharashtra, run by the Skill, Employment, Entrepreneurship and Innovation Department through the Commissionerate of Skill Development, Employment and Entrepreneurship. The scheme places educated but unemployed young people with a registered employer for 6 months of on-the-job training and pays them a monthly stipend directly from the state government.

Who is eligible for Mukhyamantri Yuva Karya Prashikshan Yojana?

You can apply if:

• You are 18 to 35 years old.
• You are a resident of Maharashtra and can show a domicile or equivalent residence proof.
• You have passed at least Class 12, or hold an ITI certificate, diploma, degree or post-graduate degree.
• You are currently unemployed and looking for work experience.
• You have an Aadhaar number and a bank account seeded with that Aadhaar.
• You have registered as a job seeker on rojgar.mahaswayam.gov.in.

You cannot apply if:

• You are below 18 or above 35 years of age on the date of registration.
• You are not a resident of Maharashtra. Candidates domiciled in other states are not eligible even if they study or live in Maharashtra.
• You have not completed Class 12; candidates who studied only up to Class 10 are not eligible under the published qualification list.
• You are already in regular employment, since the scheme is meant for unemployed youth seeking first work experience.
• Your bank account is not linked to Aadhaar, in which case the stipend cannot be released even if the placement is approved.

Establishments have their own eligibility bar. According to the district information pages, an employer must be based in Maharashtra, must have been in operation for at least 3 years, and must hold the applicable registrations, EPF, ESIC, GST, DPIIT recognition for start-ups, and Udyam or Udyog Aadhaar — along with a certificate of incorporation.

How much does Mukhyamantri Yuva Karya Prashikshan Yojana pay?

The stipend is decided by the highest qualification recorded on the Mahaswayam profile, so a graduate who registers with only a Class 12 certificate uploaded will be slotted at Rs 6,000. Upload the highest certificate before booking a vacancy.

Payment is made monthly by the state government through DBT after the employer marks the trainee's attendance for that month on the CMYKPY portal. The employer does not pay the stipend and cannot deduct anything from it. An establishment may voluntarily pay something over and above the government stipend, but that is not part of the scheme.

How to apply for Mukhyamantri Yuva Karya Prashikshan Yojana online

1. Open rojgar.mahaswayam.gov.in and choose the job seeker registration option.
2. Register with your mobile number and Aadhaar number, verify the OTP, and create your login.
3. Complete your profile: personal details, Maharashtra address, education, skills and preferred district, and upload your Aadhaar, residence proof, educational certificate, photograph and bank details.
4. Go to cmykpy.mahaswayam.gov.in, log in as an intern using the same credentials, and open the vacancy list.
5. Search vacancies by district, sector and qualification, then book the vacancy you want. You may be allowed more than one preference.
6. Wait for the establishment to shortlist you. Employers view booked candidates and call them for a short interview or document check.
7. Once the employer selects you, report to the establishment on the joining date shown on the portal and complete the joining formalities.
8. Track monthly attendance and stipend credit under the intern login. The 6-month clock starts from the recorded joining date.

How to apply offline or get help with the application

1. Visit the District Skill Development, Employment and Entrepreneurship Guidance Centre in your district headquarters with your Aadhaar, educational certificate and bank passbook.
2. Ask the counsellor to help you complete the Mahaswayam job-seeker registration and the CMYKPY intern profile. Staff at these centres assist with registration free of charge.
3. Use the CM helpline 1800 120 8040, or write to support@ese.maharashtra.gov.in, if the portal rejects your documents or your OTP fails.

There is no paper application form that replaces the portal. Every placement under the scheme is created and tracked online, so an agent who offers to "get you selected" for a fee is not part of the scheme.

How do I check my CMYKPY application and stipend status?

1. Log in to cmykpy.mahaswayam.gov.in with your intern credentials.
2. Open the booked vacancies or application section to see whether your booking is pending, shortlisted, selected or rejected by the employer.
3. After joining, open the attendance and stipend section each month. The entries show whether the employer marked your attendance and whether the payment has been pushed for DBT.
4. If the stipend shows as released but has not reached your account, check Aadhaar-bank seeding at your branch before raising a grievance.

Why do CMYKPY applications and stipends get rejected?

• Age outside 18-35 on the registration date, the portal blocks the profile outright.
• Residence proof not accepted, usually because the uploaded document does not show a Maharashtra address.
• Qualification certificate missing or unreadable, which either blocks the booking or slots you into a lower stipend band.
• Bank account not Aadhaar-seeded, or a name mismatch between Aadhaar and the bank record. This is the single most common reason a selected trainee does not receive money.
• Employer did not mark attendance for the month, so no payment instruction was generated.
• Duplicate registration with two mobile numbers or two profiles for the same Aadhaar.
• Already employed, a candidate found to be in regular employment can be removed from the placement.

Most of these are fixable. Update the Mahaswayam profile, get the bank account Aadhaar-seeded, and ask the establishment's nodal person to correct the attendance entry for the affected month.

What happens after the 6-month training ends?

Mukhyamantri Yuva Karya Prashikshan Yojana does not guarantee a permanent job at the end of the placement. The trainee receives a record of completed training on the portal, and the establishment may offer regular employment at its own cost if it wants to keep the person. The training period is not counted as government service and creates no claim to a government post.

A candidate who completes one 6-month cycle should keep the Mahaswayam job-seeker profile active, because the same portal carries regular vacancies and the Pandit Dindayal Upadhyay job fairs held across districts.
