What is Krushak Odisha?

Krushak Odisha is the unified farmer database of the Government of Odisha, built and run by the Department of Agriculture and Farmers' Empowerment (DA&FE). According to the department's own Farmer Registration Handout, Krushak Odisha exists "to digitize the farm economy and to store unified farmer data" in a single state-owned system, so that a farmer's identity, land, livestock and bank details do not have to be re-collected scheme by scheme.

Krushak Odisha is not a cash scheme. Registration pays nothing directly. What it does is create one verified, government-held profile of the farmer that other Odisha schemes then read from, which is why the CM-KISAN portal, the Sugam Odisha portal and the state scholarship portal all sit alongside it in the same departmental ecosystem.

Key features

  • Run by the Department of Agriculture and Farmers' Empowerment, Odisha.
  • Registration and login are entirely Aadhaar-based, with a one-time OTP.
  • The database covers small, marginal and landless cultivators as well as agricultural labourers, not only recorded landowners.
  • Farmer details are verified in the field by government extension workers rather than accepted purely on self-declaration.
  • The portal front page carries a live Total Farmers counter; the department's published registration handout was issued when that counter read 49,50,500 farmers.

Who can register on Krushak Odisha?

You can register if:

  • You are a farmer resident in Odisha, the database is a state system.
  • You hold a valid Aadhaar number, which is the login credential itself.
  • You are engaged in any farm or allied activity: crop cultivation, livestock rearing, fishery and aquaculture, or forestry-linked work.
  • You are a small, marginal or landless cultivator, a sharecropper or an agricultural labourer. Land ownership is not a precondition.

You cannot apply / are not eligible if:

  • You have no Aadhaar number. There is no non-Aadhaar registration route on the portal, because both the initial login and every subsequent profile update run on Aadhaar OTP authentication.
  • You are not a farmer or allied-sector worker in Odisha. Krushak Odisha is a state database and is not open to residents of other states.
  • You are already registered under the same Aadhaar. The portal checks the Aadhaar number first and, where it finds an existing record, sends you to login rather than allowing a duplicate profile.

One point worth stating plainly, because it is where readers most often go wrong: qualifying for Krushak Odisha is not the same as qualifying for a benefit. Krushak Odisha has a deliberately wide door. The schemes that read from it: CM-KISAN being the largest, apply their own exclusions on top, including limits on medium and large farmers, income tax payers, government employees and urban farmers.

What documents are required for Krushak Odisha registration?

Document Mandatory Notes
Aadhaar card Yes The Aadhaar number is the login; OTP authentication is used at every step
Aadhaar-linked mobile number Yes Receives the OTP; the Demographic Details screen has a separate Verify button for it
Bank passbook Yes Feeds the Bank Details section so DBT payments from linked schemes can reach you
Passport-size colour photograph Yes Clear or light background, no mask, no sunglasses; JPG, JPEG or PNG only
Land record (RoR / patta) No Only if you are recording cropping land; landless farmers skip it
Ration card No Not needed here, but required by CM-KISAN, which draws on this database

How to apply for Krushak Odisha registration online

  1. Open the official portal at krushak.odisha.gov.in.
  2. In the Know Your Status box on the home page, type your Aadhaar number and click Check. If the system says the Aadhaar is already registered, go straight to login instead of registering again.
  3. If you are not registered, enter your Aadhaar number in the Register / Login box and click Login.
  4. Enter the OTP sent to the mobile number linked to your Aadhaar, and submit it to authenticate.
  5. Open My Profile and click Update Profile to start the three-step core form — Demographic Details, then Bank Details, then Occupation Details.
  6. On the Demographic Details screen, check the name, gender and date of birth pulled from Aadhaar, enter and Verify your mobile number, choose marital status and social category, then fill the residential address by selecting District, Block/NAC/ULB, Gram Panchayat/Ward and Village.
  7. Upload your recent passport-size colour photograph, then click Save and Continue to move to the next screen. Every screen has its own Save and Continue button, and mandatory fields are marked.
  8. Complete the activity sections that apply to you; crop production, animal production, fishery and aquaculture, and forestry, and save each one.
  9. Return to the dashboard to confirm the completion percentage on each profile card has moved off zero. Use View Registration in the left menu to see the saved record.

How to register offline at a Mo Seba Kendra

  1. Visit your nearest Mo Seba Kendra or Common Service Centre with your Aadhaar card, bank passbook and a passport photograph.
  2. Ask the operator to register you on Krushak Odisha. This is the route to use if your mobile number is not linked to your Aadhaar or you cannot receive the OTP yourself.
  3. Give the operator your demographic, bank and occupation details, plus land, livestock or fishery details where they apply.
  4. Collect the acknowledgement, then verify the record later at home using Know Your Status with your Aadhaar number.

You can also approach your Village Agriculture Worker (VAW) or the Block Agriculture Officer for help. Field-level extension staff are the same people who verify the entries, so it is sensible to correct anything wrong with them directly.

How do I update my Krushak Odisha details?

Krushak Odisha is meant to be a living record, not a one-off form. Log in with Aadhaar and OTP, open My Profile, and use Update Profile to change residential address, bank details or occupation details. Under Activities you can revise crop production, animal production, fishery and aquaculture, and forestry entries as your farming changes from season to season.

Updating your bank details matters more than any other field. Payments under schemes that draw on this database move by Direct Benefit Transfer, so a closed account, a changed branch or an account not seeded with Aadhaar will stop money reaching you even when your eligibility is intact.

Why Krushak Odisha registration gets rejected or stalls

  • OTP not received, because the mobile number is not linked to Aadhaar. Fix this through the Verify step on Demographic Details, or register at a Mo Seba Kendra.
  • Name mismatch between Aadhaar and bank records, which blocks later DBT payments even though the profile itself saves.
  • Incomplete profile. The dashboard shows a completion percentage per card, and sections left at 0% mean schemes reading the database cannot find what they need.
  • Photograph rejected for not meeting the stated format: clear or light background, no mask, no sunglasses, JPG/JPEG/PNG.
  • Duplicate registration attempt on an Aadhaar already in the database.
  • Field verification pending, since entries are checked by government extension workers before they are treated as verified.

How does Krushak Odisha connect to CM-KISAN and other schemes?

The Krushak Odisha profile is the state's single source of farmer truth, and it sits directly next to the schemes that use it. The CM-KISAN portal links to Krushak Odisha from its own home page, alongside Sugam Odisha, the Odisha Scholarship Portal and Odisha One. Separately, the CM-KISAN portal has notified that registration there requires an AgriStack Farmer ID, so farmers should expect their state and national farmer identities to be read together.

The practical advice is simple: complete Krushak Odisha first and keep the bank and mobile fields current, then apply scheme by scheme. A half-finished Krushak Odisha profile is the quiet reason many Odisha farmers find a later scheme application stuck.

Help and grievance redressal

  • Farmer helpline: 155333, shown on both the Krushak Odisha portal header and the CM-KISAN portal.
  • Mo Seba Kendra / Common Service Centre for assisted registration and corrections.
  • Village Agriculture Worker, Agriculture Overseer or Block Agriculture Officer for field verification disputes and data corrections.
  • Department of Agriculture and Farmers' Empowerment, Odisha, Bhubaneswar, which owns the database and publishes the registration handout and FAQs on the portal.

Krushak Odisha registration is free, Aadhaar-based and open all year. No government official will ask you for your Aadhaar OTP over the phone.

How to check your application status

Krushak Odisha does not issue a separate application number to track, your Aadhaar number is the record key, so status checking runs through the same portal you registered on.

  1. Go to krushak.odisha.gov.in and find the Know Your Status box on the home page.
  2. Type in your Aadhaar number and click Check.
  3. The system tells you one of three things: the Aadhaar is not yet registered, it is registered and pending, or it is registered and verified. If it shows as already registered, use the Login box with the same Aadhaar and OTP instead of starting a fresh registration.

If you registered through a Mo Seba Kendra or Common Service Centre and did not note anything down beyond an acknowledgement slip, the same Know Your Status check at home is the way to confirm the operator actually saved your profile, since the acknowledgement slip itself is not proof of a completed record.

Once you can log in, two things inside the portal tell you more than a plain status message:

  • Completion percentage on the dashboard. Each profile card, Demographic Details, Bank Details, Occupation Details and the activity sections, shows how much of it is filled in. A card stuck below 100% is the profile telling you what is missing, not a system error.
  • View Registration in the left-hand menu, which opens your saved record as entered so far, useful for checking that a recent update actually went through.

A registered profile is not automatically a verified one. Entries are checked in the field by Village Agriculture Workers, Agriculture Overseers or the Block Agriculture Officer before schemes reading the database treat them as confirmed. If your profile has sat complete for a while with no change in status, the practical next step is to contact your local extension worker or Block Agriculture Officer directly, since field verification is not something the portal itself can speed up.

For anything the portal does not resolve, call the Krushak helpline on 155333, the same number shown on both the Krushak Odisha and CM-KISAN portal headers. Have your Aadhaar number ready when you call, since that is what any operator will ask for first to pull up your record.

Documents required

Aadhaar card
The Aadhaar number is the login itself. Registration and profile updates both run on Aadhaar OTP.
Mobile number linked to Aadhaar
The OTP is sent to the Aadhaar-linked mobile. The portal has a Verify step for the mobile number inside Demographic Details.
Bank passbook
Needed for the Bank Details section so that scheme payments can reach the account by DBT.
Recent colour passport photograph
Uploaded in the Demographic Details screen. The portal asks for a clear light background, no mask and no sunglasses, in JPG/JPEG/PNG.
Land record (RoR / patta)optional
Required only if you are recording cropping land. Landless cultivators and agricultural labourers can register without it.
Ration cardoptional
Not needed for Krushak Odisha registration itself, but required by several schemes that draw on the database, including CM-KISAN.

Frequently asked questions

Is there any fee to register on Krushak Odisha?

No, Krushak Odisha registration is completely free. The portal is run by the Agriculture & Farmers' Empowerment Department and neither the website nor a Mo Seba Kendra should charge a farmer for creating the profile. No agent can charge you for "getting your name added" to the farmer database.

Can a landless farmer or agricultural labourer register on Krushak Odisha?

Yes. Krushak Odisha is deliberately wider than a land-record list — it covers small, marginal and landless cultivators, sharecroppers and agricultural labourers. Land details are an optional section of the profile, not a precondition for registering.

What is a Krushak Parichaya Patra?

Krushak Parichaya Patra is the farmer identity record generated from a completed Krushak Odisha profile. Farmers who were not registered earlier can obtain it by registering online at krushak.odisha.gov.in or through the nearest Mo Seba Kendra.

How do I check my Krushak Odisha registration status?

Enter your Aadhaar number in the "Know Your Status" box on the Krushak Odisha home page and click Check. If your Aadhaar is already registered the system asks you to log in directly; if it is not, the portal takes you into the registration flow.

What if my mobile number is not linked to my Aadhaar?

Use the Update Profile option in the dashboard, which opens the Demographic Details screen where you can enter a mobile number and press Verify. If you cannot complete Aadhaar OTP at all, do the registration in person at a Mo Seba Kendra.

Does registering on Krushak Odisha automatically give me CM-KISAN money?

No. Krushak Odisha is a database, not a cash benefit. It gives you a verified farmer profile, but CM-KISAN and other schemes have their own eligibility rules and their own application on their own portals.

What details go into a Krushak Odisha profile?

A Krushak Odisha profile has demography details, bank details and occupation details, plus activity sections for crop production, animal production, fishery and aquaculture, and forestry. You only fill the activity sections that apply to you.

Which helpline do I call for Krushak Odisha problems?

Call 155333, the toll-free number shown on the Krushak Odisha portal header and on the CM-KISAN portal. It is the Agriculture & Farmers' Empowerment Department's farmer helpline for registration, e-KYC and status questions.
