How to Apply for PM-KISAN: Field-by-Field Online and CSC Walkthrough

Online self-registration, field by field

1. Open the portal. Go to pmkisan.gov.in. In Farmers Corner, click New Farmer Registration.
2. Rural or Urban Farmer Registration. Select Rural if your land is in a village/panchayat area, Urban otherwise. This routes your record to the correct verifying authority, choose carefully.
3. Aadhaar and location. Enter your Aadhaar number, mobile number and select your State, then complete the captcha and click to proceed.

8. Land details. Enter your survey/khasra number, khatauni, area of holding and the ownership category. Add each parcel if you hold more than one.
9. Upload documents. Attach the land record and any state-required proof in the accepted format and size shown on screen.
10. Submit and save. Submit the form. The portal shows a registration number, write it down and keep the acknowledgement; you need it for every future status check.

Complete e-KYC (mandatory)

No instalment releases until e-KYC is done.

1. In Farmers Corner, open e-KYC.
2. Enter your Aadhaar number and verify with the OTP sent to your linked mobile.
3. If OTP fails, use face-authentication e-KYC in the PM-KISAN mobile app, or biometric e-KYC at a CSC.

Offline / CSC route (if you have no Aadhaar-linked mobile)

1. Visit your nearest Common Service Centre with Aadhaar card, land records and bank passbook.
2. Ask the Village Level Entrepreneur (VLE) to register you under PM-KISAN.
3. Complete biometric e-KYC at the centre — this is the route when OTP is unavailable.
