Who is eligible for the penury grant?

Common reasons for rejection

• Applicant is below 65 years of age. Cases from ex-servicemen or widows who have not yet reached 65 are turned down on age grounds alone. The fix is simply to wait and re-apply once the applicant crosses 65, keeping the same supporting documents ready.
• Rank at discharge was above Havildar or equivalent.
