PM Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana: How to Check Application and Payment Status

This is a supporting guide for PM Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana (Employment Linked Incentive Scheme). See the main guide for full eligibility, benefits and documents.

How to check your PM Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana status

PM Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana (PM-VBRY) has no separate application form, so there is no application status in the usual sense, entitlement is computed from EPFO records. You "check status" by verifying, on the EPFO member portal, that your UAN is active, your Aadhaar is seeded, and your bank account is Aadhaar-linked, and by tracking scheme notices on pmvbry.epfindia.gov.in. This is the status companion to the main PM Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana guide, which covers the Part A employee incentive and Part B employer incentive: here we focus only on how to confirm you are in line for payment and how to trace a delayed credit.

There is no application to track, but there is readiness to verify

Because PM-VBRY works off your Universal Account Number (UAN), your employer's monthly Electronic Challan cum Return (ECR) filings, and Aadhaar seeding, the practical "status" is whether these three are in order. A failure in any one blocks the Direct Benefit Transfer. Check them in this order:

  1. UAN active: log in to the EPFO member portal and confirm your UAN is generated and activated.
  2. Aadhaar seeded to UAN. The KYC section must show Aadhaar as verified. Part A pays through the Aadhaar Bridge Payment System, so an unseeded UAN cannot receive money.
  3. Bank account Aadhaar-linked, the account that receives the DBT must be linked to the same Aadhaar as your UAN.
  4. Employer ECR filed; your monthly EPF contribution should appear in your passbook; if it does not, your employer has not filed the ECR showing you as a member.

Where to log in

  • EPFO member portal (unifiedportal-mem.epfindia.gov.in) — for UAN status, KYC/Aadhaar seeding, bank linking and passbook.
  • pmvbry.epfindia.gov.in, the scheme portal, for member or employer login and scheme notices.
  • Employer: the EPFO employer portal, to confirm ECR filings and, for Part B, that the establishment's bank account is PAN-linked.

Tracking the Part A employee incentive

Part A pays a first-time EPFO member one month of EPF wage capped at Rs 15,000, in two instalments. The timing is what to watch:

  1. First instalment falls due after 6 months of continuous service.
  2. Second instalment falls due after 12 months of service and completion of the prescribed financial literacy programme.
  3. A portion is held in a savings instrument for a fixed period and withdrawn later, so the amount credited may be less than the headline figure. This is by design, not an error.

If the six-month mark has passed and nothing has arrived, the cause is almost always UAN/Aadhaar/bank seeding or a missing employer ECR; verify those four readiness checks above before raising a grievance.

Tracking the Part B employer incentive

Part B pays the employer up to Rs 3,000 per month per additional employee, into the establishment's PAN-linked bank account. Employers confirm status by checking that:

  1. The establishment is EPFO-registered and compliant on filings.
  2. The net-additional-hire threshold is met, at least 2 extra employees if the baseline is under 50, or at least 5 if 50 or more.
  3. Each additional employee has been retained for at least six months.
  4. The establishment bank account is PAN-linked, or the credit cannot land.

What to do if a payment does not arrive

  1. Re-run the four readiness checks on the EPFO member portal.
  2. Fix the failing item; seed Aadhaar to the UAN, link the correct Aadhaar-linked bank account, or ask your employer to file the pending ECR.
  3. Raise a written grievance on EPFiGMS, the EPFO grievance management system, for UAN, Aadhaar-seeding or ECR problems.
  4. Call the EPFO helpline on 14480 or 1800-118-005.

Operational claim screens and workflows are published by EPFO over time, so check pmvbry.epfindia.gov.in for the current process before assuming a step is missing. This article states only what the Ministry of Labour and Employment and EPFO have published.

FAQ

Is there an application status page for PM-VBRY? No. There is no public application form; status is really your EPFO readiness: active UAN, seeded Aadhaar, Aadhaar-linked bank account, and employer ECR filings.

Why is my Part A amount less than one month's wage? A portion is deliberately parked in a savings instrument for a fixed period and can be withdrawn later, so the immediate credit is smaller than the total entitlement.

Who do I contact about a delayed credit? Use EPFiGMS for written complaints on UAN, Aadhaar seeding or ECR, and the EPFO helpline on 14480 or 1800-118-005.
