Skill India Digital Hub: How to Check Course, Certificate and Application Status
This is a supporting guide for Skill India Digital Hub (SIDH). See the main guide for full eligibility, benefits and documents.
How to check your status on Skill India Digital Hub
To check status on Skill India Digital Hub, log in at skillindiadigital.gov.in with your registered mobile number and OTP or PIN, then open My Learning for course progress and My Certificates for issued credentials. Certificates also appear in DigiLocker with NSDC as the issuer. There is no cash payment to track: SIDH is a platform, not a benefit scheme. This article walks through each status screen; the Skill India Digital Hub pillar covers registration and eligibility.
What "status" means on SIDH
Skill India Digital Hub does not run a single application that gets approved or rejected. Instead there are four distinct things a learner tracks, each on its own screen:
- e-KYC status; whether your Aadhaar verification is complete.
- Enrolment / batch status: whether you are admitted to a course batch.
- Course completion status: your progress and assessment result.
- Certificate status — whether the credential is issued and in DigiLocker.
How to check your e-KYC status
- Log in at skillindiadigital.gov.in with your mobile number and OTP or PIN.
- Open your profile. A completed e-KYC shows your Aadhaar-verified name and a "verified" marker.
- If e-KYC is incomplete, you can browse courses but cannot be issued a certificate or enrolled in a government-funded scheme course.
Per the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, e-KYC uses the mobile number linked to your Aadhaar: not necessarily the number you registered with. If it will not complete, that mismatch is the usual cause.
How to check course and batch status
- From the dashboard, open My Learning.
- Each enrolled course shows its completion percentage and whether you are in an active batch.
- For a scheme-linked course (PMKVY 4.0, an apprenticeship under NAPS), the batch page shows your training provider and the assessment schedule.
According to NSDC's candidate support documentation, enrolment into a batch is confirmed on this screen once the training provider accepts your application.
How to check certificate status
- Open My Certificates on the dashboard. Issued credentials appear here, each carrying a QR code for verification.
- A certificate is generated only after the training provider marks your assessment as passed. Until then it will not appear.
- Open DigiLocker and check "Issued Documents" under NSDC if the certificate is not visible on the SIDH dashboard.
Certificates issued through SIDH are NCVET-recognised, NSQF-aligned and pushed to DigiLocker automatically.
How to check stipend status (for scheme-linked courses)
Skill India Digital Hub itself pays no stipend. Where a stipend is due, for example under an apprenticeship through the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme, the payment and its status follow that scheme's own rules and portal, not SIDH's. Check the specific scheme's dashboard for stipend disbursement.
What each result means and what to do next
| What you see | What it means | Next step |
|---|---|---|
| Profile not verified | e-KYC incomplete | Update the Aadhaar-linked mobile number, then re-run e-KYC |
| Course at less than 100% | Training not finished | Complete remaining modules and the assessment |
| No certificate after a pass | Not yet generated or synced | Wait a few weeks, then raise a support ticket |
| Certificate on SIDH but not DigiLocker | DigiLocker Aadhaar mismatch | Confirm DigiLocker uses the same Aadhaar, refresh issued documents |
| Old PMKVY record missing | Legacy migration pending | Raise a ticket quoting your old candidate ID |
How to escalate
- Use Help and Support inside the SIDH dashboard to raise a tracked ticket. This is the recommended route for a missing certificate.
- Call the Skill India helpline on 088000-55555.
- For scheme or policy grievances, use the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship contact page at msde.gov.in.
Checking status, downloading a certificate and running e-KYC on Skill India Digital Hub are all free. No cyber cafe or training centre may charge you to view your status or to download a certificate already issued in your name.
