What is Annadata Sukhibhava?

Annadata Sukhibhava, often written locally as Annadata Sukhibhava Pathakam, is the Andhra Pradesh government's farm income support scheme run by the Department of Agriculture. Annadata Sukhibhava pays a flat Rs 20,000 per year to every eligible farmer family in the state, and it is deliberately built on top of the central PM-KISAN scheme rather than beside it.

The arithmetic is simple. Central PM-KISAN already pays Rs 6,000 a year to land-holding farmer families across India. Andhra Pradesh adds Rs 14,000 from its own budget, and the two amounts are released together so that a farmer sees one combined credit rather than two separate ones. The scheme is therefore usually referred to on government material as "PM-KISAN Annadata Sukhibhava".

Money reaches the beneficiary entirely through Direct Benefit Transfer. There is no cash handling, no intermediary and no requirement to visit a bank branch to claim it. According to the state's release for the 2026 Kharif cycle, the first instalment of that year covered 46.85 lakh farmers with a total outgo of about Rs 3,125 crore, which gives a fair sense of the scale of the scheme.

Key objectives

  • Put working capital in a farmer's hands before the sowing season rather than after harvest.
  • Reduce dependence on private moneylenders for seed, fertiliser and pesticide purchases.
  • Extend income support beyond pattadar landowners to tenant and landless cultivators who do the actual farming.
  • Deliver the state share and the central share as one predictable payment.

Who is eligible for Annadata Sukhibhava?

You can get the benefit if:

  • You are a resident of Andhra Pradesh and a cultivating farmer.
  • Your family is registered and approved under PM-KISAN for Andhra Pradesh.
  • Your Aadhaar-based e-KYC is complete and your bank account is Aadhaar-seeded.
  • You are a land-owning farmer with land recorded in your name in Webland, or a tenant or landless cultivator whose cultivation has been recorded for the season, typically through a Crop Cultivator Rights Card and e-crop booking.

You cannot apply, or are not eligible, if:

  • You or your spouse is an income tax payer in the last assessment year.
  • You are a serving or retired government employee of the state or central government, a public sector undertaking or an autonomous body. Group D and Class IV staff are treated as an exception under the parent PM-KISAN rules.
  • You draw a government pension of Rs 10,000 or more per month, again with the Group D and Class IV exception.
  • You hold or have held a constitutional or elected post such as MP, MLA, MLC, mayor or district panchayat chairperson.
  • You are a practising professional; doctor, engineer, lawyer, chartered accountant or architect registered with a professional body.
  • The land is held by an institution, trust or society rather than a farming family.
  • Another member of the same family has already been paid for the cycle. One benefit is paid per family, not per adult.

Because eligibility is inherited from PM-KISAN, any exclusion that removes you from the PM-KISAN list also removes you from the state top-up. Clearing a PM-KISAN flag is therefore the fastest way to restore an Annadata Sukhibhava payment.

What documents are required for Annadata Sukhibhava?

Document Mandatory Notes
Aadhaar card Yes For PM-KISAN registration, e-KYC and portal status checks
Land records (adangal / 1-B / pattadar passbook) Yes for landowners Must show the land in the applicant's own name in Webland
Crop Cultivator Rights Card No Used by tenant cultivators to prove actual cultivation
Bank passbook Yes Account must be Aadhaar-seeded in the NPCI mapper for DBT
Mobile number No Needed for OTP e-KYC and payment alerts

Note that Andhra Pradesh does not ask for a fresh document set for the state top-up. The documents above are the ones the underlying PM-KISAN registration and the village-level verification need.

How to apply for Annadata Sukhibhava

  1. Check whether you are already covered. Open annadathasukhibhava.ap.gov.in, use "Know Your Status", enter your Aadhaar number and the captcha. If your name appears with a district and mandal, you are on the list and no application is needed.
  2. If you are not on the list, register under PM-KISAN first. Go to pmkisan.gov.in, open Farmers Corner and select New Farmer Registration. Enter your Aadhaar number, mobile number and state, verify the OTP, then fill in your land survey number, extent of holding and bank details.
  3. Or register offline at your village. Visit the Rythu Seva Kendram or the Grama Sachivalayam in your village with your Aadhaar card, adangal or pattadar passbook and bank passbook. The Village Agriculture Assistant will enter your details and give you an acknowledgement.
  4. Complete Aadhaar e-KYC. Use the OTP route on pmkisan.gov.in if your mobile number is linked to Aadhaar, face authentication in the PM-KISAN app if it is not, or biometric e-KYC at a Common Service Centre.
  5. Seed your bank account with Aadhaar. Ask your bank branch or post office to link Aadhaar to the account in the NPCI mapper. A merely "Aadhaar-linked" account is not the same as an NPCI-seeded account, and DBT needs the latter.
  6. Get your cultivation recorded for the season. Tenant and landless cultivators must have the season's e-crop booking done at the Rythu Seva Kendram, with a Crop Cultivator Rights Card where applicable.
  7. Wait for verification. The Village Revenue Officer and the mandal agriculture office verify land and family details before the name is pushed into the payment file.

How much does Annadata Sukhibhava pay and when?

Annadata Sukhibhava pays Rs 20,000 per farmer family per financial year in three instalments. According to the state agriculture department's published structure, the split is roughly Rs 5,000, Rs 5,000 and Rs 4,000 from the state side, each accompanied by a Rs 2,000 PM-KISAN instalment, so the family sees about Rs 7,000, Rs 7,000 and Rs 6,000 land in the account across the year.

The first instalment of a year is timed for the Kharif sowing season, which is when input costs peak. For 2026, the state released Rs 3,125.47 crore as the first instalment, credited to 46.85 lakh farmer accounts.

There is no annual re-application. Once a family is approved and its e-KYC, land seeding and bank seeding all read complete, every instalment is released automatically in its cycle.

How to check Annadata Sukhibhava status

  1. Open annadathasukhibhava.ap.gov.in.
  2. Select Know Your Status.
  3. Enter your Aadhaar number and the captcha, then submit.
  4. Read the result screen for your beneficiary position, district, mandal, e-KYC status and the instalments already credited.

You can cross-check the central half of the payment on pmkisan.gov.in under Know Your Status, which shows the three verification flags; e-KYC, land seeding and Aadhaar-bank seeding — separately. Any one of them showing "No" will hold your money.

Why Annadata Sukhibhava payments get rejected or stopped

  • e-KYC not done. This is the single largest cause across both the central and the state components.
  • Bank account not Aadhaar-seeded. The transfer bounces back to the treasury and shows as a failed credit.
  • Name mismatch between Aadhaar and bank records, common where an initial or a surname is spelled differently.
  • Land record not updated in Webland, or land mutated to another name after a sale or partition.
  • Tenant cultivation not recorded for the season, so the system cannot see who actually farmed the land.
  • Exclusion flag raised, an income tax return filed, a government salary or pension detected, or a professional registration matched.
  • Duplicate claim by a second adult in the same family.

The fix in almost every case is local. Take your Aadhaar, bank passbook and land paper to the Rythu Seva Kendram or Grama Sachivalayam, get the record corrected at source, and the correction flows up to the payment file for the next cycle.

How to raise a grievance

  • Andhra Pradesh Grama and Ward Sachivalayam helpline: 1902, the general state grievance number used for welfare schemes including this one.
  • Rythu Seva Kendram in your village, the first stop for land, e-crop and cultivator-record problems.
  • Mandal Agriculture Officer and the District Agriculture Officer for escalation.
  • PM-KISAN helpline 155261 for problems that sit on the central side, such as e-KYC or the central instalment alone not arriving.

Enrolment in Annadata Sukhibhava is free. No agent or middleman can charge a fee to add your name to the beneficiary list, and no government official will ask you for an OTP or a bank PIN.

Frequently asked questions

How much money does Annadata Sukhibhava give a farmer in a year?

Annadata Sukhibhava gives Rs 20,000 per farmer family per year. Of this, Rs 14,000 comes from the Andhra Pradesh government and Rs 6,000 comes from the central PM-KISAN scheme, so the two are paid together as a single combined credit in three instalments.

Do I have to apply separately for Annadata Sukhibhava?

No separate application is required. Farmer families already on the PM-KISAN beneficiary list for Andhra Pradesh are picked up automatically for the state top-up. If you are not yet on PM-KISAN, register at pmkisan.gov.in or at your Rythu Seva Kendram first.

Are tenant farmers eligible for Annadata Sukhibhava?

Yes, the scheme covers tenant and landless cultivators in addition to land-owning farmers, subject to verification of actual cultivation. Tenant cultivators are identified through the Crop Cultivator Rights Card and the seasonal e-crop booking done at the village level.

How do I check my Annadata Sukhibhava payment status?

Open annadathasukhibhava.ap.gov.in, choose "Know Your Status", enter your Aadhaar number and the captcha, and submit. The screen shows whether you are on the beneficiary list, your district and mandal, your e-KYC position and the instalments credited so far.

Why has my Annadata Sukhibhava instalment not come?

The most common cause is incomplete Aadhaar e-KYC or a bank account that is not Aadhaar-seeded. Land record mismatches, a name that differs between Aadhaar and the bank, and exclusion flags such as income tax filing or a government job also stop the credit.

Is one payment made per family or per person?

One payment is made per farmer family, not per adult. Because eligibility rides on the PM-KISAN list, the PM-KISAN family definition of husband, wife and minor children applies, and duplicate claims within the same family are flagged and suspended.

Which department runs Annadata Sukhibhava?

The Department of Agriculture, Government of Andhra Pradesh runs the scheme, with delivery at the village level through Rythu Seva Kendram (formerly Rythu Bharosa Kendram) staff and the Grama and Ward Sachivalayam network.

Does Annadata Sukhibhava replace YSR Rythu Bharosa?

Yes, Annadata Sukhibhava is the successor to the earlier YSR Rythu Bharosa PM-KISAN scheme in Andhra Pradesh. The delivery machinery is the same, but the state share was raised so the combined annual support is Rs 20,000 per farmer family.
