PM Vishwakarma: How to Check Application and Payment Status

This is a supporting guide for PM Vishwakarma. See the main guide for full eligibility, benefits and documents.

How to check your PM Vishwakarma application and payment status

You check PM Vishwakarma status by logging in at pmvishwakarma.gov.in with your registered mobile number and OTP, then reading which verification stage your file has reached: Gram Panchayat/ULB, District Implementation Committee, or State Monitoring Committee. Only after all three clear does the certificate generate, training unlock, and money begin to flow. This is the status companion to the main PM Vishwakarma guide, which covers eligibility, the 18 trades and the benefit package, here we focus only on tracing where your application and payments stand.

Logging in to check status

  1. Open pmvishwakarma.gov.in.
  2. Choose the applicant or beneficiary login option.
  3. Enter your registered mobile number. The one linked to your Aadhaar and used at the Common Service Centre (CSC) enrolment.
  4. Verify with the OTP sent to that number.
  5. Open the dashboard to see your current verification stage.

Keep your application number from the CSC acknowledgement handy; it identifies your file if you need to raise a query.

Reading the three verification stages

PM Vishwakarma is unusual because it runs a three-tier verification chain before any benefit moves, so approval takes longer than a simple online registration. Your status will sit at one of these stages:

  1. Gram Panchayat or Urban Local Body verification, the local body head confirms you genuinely practise the declared trade and live in the area. Most applications are filtered here, because local bodies can check a claim a central database cannot.
  2. District Implementation Committee; examines the recommended applications in more detail and forwards its recommendation.
  3. State Monitoring Committee, gives final approval, after which the certificate and ID card are generated.

If your status is stuck at Stage 1 for a long time, the Gram Panchayat/ULB has not yet acted or could not confirm your trade, the District Industries Centre or the local body is the place to follow up.

Checking status after approval: certificate, training and toolkit

Once the three-tier chain completes, benefits unlock in a fixed order, and each is a status milestone you can confirm on the portal:

  1. Certificate and ID card — download these from the portal after State Monitoring Committee approval. Their appearance confirms you are a registered Vishwakarma.
  2. Skill training, after approval you become eligible for basic training (5–7 days), which carries the Rs 500 per day stipend.
  3. Toolkit e-voucher. The Rs 15,000 toolkit incentive is issued as an e-voucher only after basic training is completed. If it has not appeared, confirm your training completion is recorded.
  4. Credit tranche. The first loan tranche is taken up with a lending bank after training; check with the bank branch for sanction and disbursement status.

Checking payment status

  • Training stipend and digital transaction incentive are credited by Direct Benefit Transfer to your bank account, confirm the account details in your profile are correct and the account is active. The digital incentive is Re 1 per digital transaction, up to 100 a month.
  • Toolkit voucher status shows on the portal once training is complete.
  • Loan disbursement status is tracked with the lending bank, not the portal.

What to do if status is stuck

  1. Long delay at Gram Panchayat/ULB: approach the Gram Panchayat head, Urban Local Body, or District Industries Centre / District Implementation Committee to resolve a verification or status dispute.
  2. Biometric authentication failed at enrolment: fingerprints worn from manual work commonly fail, the CSC should attempt iris or face authentication instead, which lets your registration proceed.
  3. Toolkit voucher missing: confirm your basic training is recorded as completed, since the voucher issues only afterwards.
  4. General help: call the Ministry of MSME Champions helpline on 18002677777.

PM Vishwakarma registration and status checks cost nothing. If a CSC operator, agent or middleman asks for money to "speed up" verification or release your toolkit voucher, it is fraud, report it to the MSME helpline. No official will ask for your Aadhaar OTP or bank password.

FAQ

How long does PM Vishwakarma verification take? There is no fixed portal-published timeline, because approval depends on three separate committees clearing your file in turn; the Gram Panchayat/ULB stage is usually where files wait longest.

Why has my toolkit incentive not arrived after approval? The Rs 15,000 toolkit e-voucher issues only after you complete basic skill training; approval alone does not release it. Confirm your training completion is recorded on the portal.

Where do I check loan status? Loan sanction and disbursement are handled by your lending bank, so track that with the bank branch rather than the portal.
