Pradhan Mantri Dakshta Aur Kushalta Sampann Hitgrahi Yojana: How to Check Application and Payment Status
To check your Pradhan Mantri Dakshta Aur Kushalta Sampann Hitgrahi Yojana (PM-DAKSH) status, log in to the PM-DAKSH portal at pmdaksh.dosje.gov.in (or the PM-DAKSH mobile app) with your registered mobile number and OTP, and open your candidate dashboard, it shows whether you are registered, verified, batch-allotted, or in training. This article walks through each stage, what it means, and what to do next; the parent PM-DAKSH guide covers the course tracks and stipend in full.
How to check application status on the portal
- Open pmdaksh.dosje.gov.in in a browser, or launch the PM-DAKSH app.
- Click Candidate Login and enter the mobile number you registered with.
- Enter the OTP sent to that number: login is OTP-based, so keep the registered SIM handy.
- Open the candidate dashboard, which displays your current application state and your registration number.
- Note the exact status label shown against your application.
You can also reach PM-DAKSH through the UMANG platform, which links to the same scheme services.
What each status means and what to do
- Registered, your form is submitted but the training institute has not yet verified your documents. If it stays here for more than a few weeks, contact the training institute listed against your application.
- Verified / Documents approved, the institute has accepted your caste/EWS certificate, income certificate (for OBC/EWS), Aadhaar and bank passbook. You are now in the pool for a batch.
- Batch allotted, you have a seat in a specific course and centre; confirmation comes by SMS and email to your registered contacts, so keep both active.
- In training, the course has started and your Aadhaar-based attendance is being recorded.
- No batch running — where no batch exists in your district for the chosen job role, the application effectively lapses rather than being formally rejected. Re-apply for a role or centre that has an active batch.
How to check stipend and payment status
PM-DAKSH is not a cash-benefit scheme; its main benefit is 100% free training. The money a trainee receives is a stipend of roughly Rs 1,000 to Rs 1,500 per month during the course (or wage-loss compensation for safai-karamchari RPL courses), paid by Direct Benefit Transfer. Because it is a DBT stipend, the payment status is best tracked two ways:
- On the candidate dashboard, once you are in training, the stipend entries appear against your attendance record.
- In your bank account / passbook, since the stipend is credited to your Aadhaar-seeded account, the credit narration confirms receipt.
If attendance is marked but the stipend has not arrived, the usual cause is a bank issue: the account is not Aadhaar-seeded, or the name on the account does not match Aadhaar. Update your bank details with the training institute, because the DBT will keep failing until the seeding is fixed. The exact stipend figure varies by implementing corporation (NSFDC, NBCFDC or NSKFDC) and by whether the course is residential; confirm your course's figure on its page rather than assuming a fixed amount.
If the status will not move
- First, contact the training institute listed against your application, most delays sit at document verification or batch formation, which the institute controls.
- If the institute does not respond, call the PM-DAKSH helpline on 1800-110-396 (or 011-26382479).
- For a written complaint, use the grievance section on pmdaksh.dosje.gov.in. This is the route for reporting an institute that demands any fee, since PM-DAKSH registration and training are free.
Quick FAQ
Do I need a registration number to check status? No: OTP login on your registered mobile is enough, and the dashboard shows the registration number.
Can I check without internet? The status is online-only; if you registered offline at a centre, ask the centre or call 1800-110-396.
Why is my status still "registered" after a month? The training institute has not verified your documents or no batch has formed for your job role in your district. Contact the institute first, then the helpline.
