Mukhyamantri Vishesh Yogyajan Samman Pension Yojana
Rajasthan state government scheme
Mukhyamantri Vishesh Yogyajan Samman Pension Yojana is the Rajasthan disability pension, paying a minimum of Rs 1,300 per month from 1 January 2026 to residents with 40 per cent or more disability whose family income stays within Rs 60,000 a year. Apply free on the RajSSP portal through an SSO ID or at any e-Mitra kiosk.
What is Mukhyamantri Vishesh Yogyajan Samman Pension Yojana?
Mukhyamantri Vishesh Yogyajan Samman Pension Yojana is the disability pension run by the Social Justice and Empowerment Department, Government of Rajasthan. It is one of the four schemes delivered through the Rajasthan Social Security Pension portal, RajSSP, alongside the old-age pension (Vraddhajan), the widow and single woman pension (Ekal Nari), and the small and marginal farmer old-age pension. In everyday Rajasthani usage the scheme is called the vishesh yogyajan pension or simply viklang pension.
Mukhyamantri Vishesh Yogyajan Samman Pension Yojana pays a monthly cash pension, not a one-time grant, directly into the beneficiary's own bank account by Direct Benefit Transfer. The Social Justice and Empowerment Department reports that the four RajSSP schemes together cover roughly 91 lakh pensioners across Rajasthan.
The rate is not fixed forever. The Rajasthan Minimum Income Guarantee Act, 2023 commits the state to raising the minimum social security pension each year, and the minimum rose to Rs 1,300 per month with effect from 1 January 2026, with disbursal of the higher amount beginning in February 2026. The state reported the increase as costing about Rs 550 crore extra a year against a total monthly pension outgo of roughly Rs 1,150 crore. Rajasthan Budget 2026-27 announced a further increase, reported at Rs 1,450 a month; treat the rate displayed against your own PPO number on the RajSSP portal as the operative figure.
Who is eligible for the Rajasthan disability pension?
You can get the pension if:
- You are a permanent resident of Rajasthan.
- You have a disability certified at 40 per cent or more by the district Medical Board, or you are a person with dwarfism of height under 3 feet 6 inches, or a transgender person, or a cured-leprosy patient, or a silicosis patient with the relevant medical certificate.
- Your family income does not exceed Rs 60,000 a year, as recorded against your Jan Aadhaar family ID.
- You hold a bank account in your own name that is Aadhaar-seeded.
There is no minimum or maximum age bar for the disability category. A child with a certified disability can be enrolled through a guardian, and an elderly person already past 75 remains covered.
You cannot apply, or are not eligible, if:
- You are not a permanent resident of Rajasthan.
- Your certified disability is below 40 per cent and you do not fall in the dwarfism, transgender, leprosy or silicosis categories.
- Your family income exceeds the Rs 60,000 a year ceiling.
- You already draw another Rajasthan social security pension. One person may draw only one state pension; an applicant already on the old-age or widow pension must choose between the two rather than hold both.
- Your Jan Aadhaar record does not show you as a member of a Rajasthan family, in which case the Jan Aadhaar entry must be corrected before the pension application can even be submitted.
What are the pension rates?
| Category | Monthly pension |
|---|---|
| Disability of 40 per cent or more | Minimum Rs 1,300 from 1 January 2026 |
| Persons with dwarfism | Minimum Rs 1,300 from 1 January 2026 |
| Transgender persons | Minimum Rs 1,300 from 1 January 2026 |
| Silicosis patients | Rs 1,500 |
| Cured-leprosy patients | Rs 2,500 |
Payment is monthly and is credited through DBT, usually in the first half of the following month. Pension is paid for full months from the date of sanction; there is no lump-sum arrear for the period before sanction unless a suspension is later reversed, in which case the withheld months are released together.

How to apply for Mukhyamantri Vishesh Yogyajan Samman Pension Yojana
- Create or sign in to your SSO ID at sso.rajasthan.gov.in, registering with your Jan Aadhaar number if you do not already have one.
- Open the RajSSP application from the SSO dashboard, or go directly to ssp.rajasthan.gov.in.
- Select Vishesh Yogyajan Pension as the scheme and enter your Jan Aadhaar number so that the form pre-fills your family and income details.
- Fill in the applicant details, disability type and percentage, certificate number, and bank account number with IFSC code.
- Upload the disability certificate, Aadhaar, bank passbook page, domicile proof and photograph, and submit the form.
- Note the application number shown on the acknowledgement screen. Use it to track the file.
- Wait for verification by the sanctioning authority, the Sub-Divisional Officer in rural areas, or the Tehsildar or Municipal Commissioner in urban areas, who issues the PPO (Pension Payment Order) number on approval.
Offline route: carry your Jan Aadhaar card, Aadhaar card, disability certificate and bank passbook to the nearest e-Mitra kiosk and ask the operator to file the RajSSP disability pension application. The operator scans and uploads the documents and prints an acknowledgement carrying the application number. Kiosks charge the government-notified service fee, commonly quoted at around Rs 33. Applications may also be submitted at the Sub-Divisional Office or the panchayat samiti.
How do I check the pension status and payments?
- Open ssp.rajasthan.gov.in and choose the pension status or report option.
- Enter your PPO number, or your Jan Aadhaar or Aadhaar number.
- Read the screen for the sanctioned rate, the sanctioning office and the month-wise payment table.
The payment table separates two very different problems. A month marked as paid but not seen in the bank is a bank-side failure: usually a dormant account, a closed account or a wrong IFSC — and is fixed by updating the account details through e-Mitra. A month with no entry at all points to a suspension, most often for missed annual verification.
Pension status is also published on the Jan Soochna portal, jansoochna.rajasthan.gov.in, where anyone can look up the pensioner list for their own gram panchayat or ward. That listing is useful when a family wants to confirm that a sanction actually exists.
Why do Rajasthan disability pensions get stopped?
- Annual verification not done. Every RajSSP pensioner must verify once a year, biometrically at an e-Mitra kiosk, at the gram panchayat, or by face authentication in the department's app. This is by a wide margin the commonest cause of a stopped pension, and it is fully reversible; verification restores the pension with the withheld months paid as arrears.
- Bank account dormant, closed or wrongly seeded. DBT bounces and the credit reverses. Update the account through e-Mitra.
- Aadhaar and bank name mismatch. Correct one record so both agree.
- Jan Aadhaar income record updated above Rs 60,000. The system reads income from the family record; a data-entry change there can knock out eligibility.
- Duplicate pension detected. Where the same person appears under two schemes, the second is stopped.
- Death or migration reported in the verification drive.
Where do I complain?
- RajSSP helpline: 0141-5111007, 0141-5111010 or 0141-2740637.
- Sanctioning authority named on the PPO; Sub-Divisional Officer, Tehsildar or Municipal Commissioner, for sanction, suspension and arrear disputes.
- District Social Justice and Empowerment Officer for scheme-level disputes.
- Rajasthan Sampark at sampark.rajasthan.gov.in or the state grievance helpline for a tracked written complaint.
Applying on the portal is free. No official will ask for your OTP, and no agent can charge a fee beyond the notified e-Mitra service charge for filing the form.

Frequently asked questions
How much pension does Mukhyamantri Vishesh Yogyajan Samman Pension Yojana pay?
The minimum social security pension in Rajasthan rose to Rs 1,300 per month with effect from 1 January 2026, and disability pensioners are covered by that floor. Special categories are paid more — cured-leprosy beneficiaries draw Rs 2,500 a month and silicosis patients Rs 1,500 a month. Check your own sanctioned rate on the RajSSP pension status page, because the rate shown against your PPO number is the operative figure.
What disability percentage is needed for the Rajasthan disability pension?
A disability of 40 per cent or more, certified by the district Medical Board, is the threshold. Persons with dwarfism qualify on a height criterion of under 3 feet 6 inches instead, and transgender persons, cured-leprosy patients and silicosis patients qualify on their own certificates without the 40 per cent test.
What is the income limit for this pension?
Family income must not exceed Rs 60,000 a year for the disability category. Income is checked against the Jan Aadhaar family record, so keep that record current — a stale entry is one of the commonest reasons an otherwise valid application is rejected.
Who cannot apply for Mukhyamantri Vishesh Yogyajan Samman Pension Yojana?
Applicants who are not permanent residents of Rajasthan, whose family income exceeds Rs 60,000 a year, or who already draw another state social security pension are not eligible. A person cannot draw the old-age, widow and disability pensions at the same time — only one state pension per person is sanctioned.
How do I check my Rajasthan pension status?
Open ssp.rajasthan.gov.in and use the "Report" or pension status option with your PPO number, Jan Aadhaar number or Aadhaar number. The screen shows the sanctioned rate, the sanctioning office and the month-by-month payment history, which tells you whether a missed month is a bank failure or a suspension.
Is annual verification compulsory for the pension?
Yes. Rajasthan requires an annual physical or biometric verification of every social security pensioner, done at an e-Mitra kiosk, at the gram panchayat, or through the department's face-authentication app. Pension is suspended when verification is missed, and it restarts with arrears once verification is completed.
Is there a fee to apply?
Applying on the RajSSP portal with your own SSO ID is free. An e-Mitra kiosk may charge the government-notified service fee, commonly quoted at around Rs 33 for a pension application; no agent may charge anything beyond the notified fee to "get your pension sanctioned".
Where do I complain if my pension stops?
Raise the matter first with the sanctioning authority named on your PPO — the Sub-Divisional Officer for rural areas or the Tehsildar or Municipal Commissioner in urban areas. If it is unresolved, file a grievance on Rajasthan Sampark at sampark.rajasthan.gov.in or call the RajSSP helpline on 0141-5111007.
