Super 30 Scheme (Tripura)
Tripura state government scheme
Super 30 Scheme (Tripura) selects 30 Class 10 students from government and government-aided schools each year and pays for their JEE and NEET coaching outside the state, covering coaching fees up to Rs 1,00,000 a year and hostel or accommodation charges up to Rs 1,40,000 a year. Selection is through a written test after online registration at tripurasuper30.com.
What is the Super 30 Scheme in Tripura?
Super 30 Scheme (Tripura) is a merit-based sponsorship programme run by the Directorate of Secondary Education under the Department of Education (Secondary), Government of Tripura. Super 30 identifies 30 academically strong Class 10 students from government and government-aided schools every year and pays for them to prepare full-time for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) or the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) at a reputed coaching institute outside the state.
The problem Super 30 tries to solve is a practical one. A serious two-year residential coaching programme in Kota, Delhi or Guwahati costs several lakh rupees once tuition, hostel and mess charges are added up. A family in Dharmanagar or Belonia earning under Rs 8 lakh a year cannot fund that, however capable the child is. Super 30 removes the money question entirely for 30 students a year, so that entry to the state's engineering and medical pipeline depends on the test paper rather than the family's bank balance.
Super 30 is not a cash scholarship. Nothing is transferred to the student's account. The Directorate of Secondary Education settles the coaching fee and the accommodation charge with the institute, within published ceilings, for the two years of the programme.

- Support runs for two years, covering Class 11 and Class 12 preparation.

Who is eligible for Tripura Super 30?
You can apply if:
- You are currently studying in Class 10 at a government school or a government-aided school in Tripura and are appearing for the Class 10 board final examination.
- You passed Class 9 with at least 50% marks.
- You score at least 60% in the Class 10 Madhyamik examination. This is verified at counselling, since registration happens before results.
- Your family's annual income is below Rs 8,00,000, certified by the Sub-Divisional Magistrate or District Collectorate Magistrate.
- You hold a Permanent Residential Certificate of Tripura (PRTC).
- You intend to take the Science stream and prepare for JEE or NEET.
You cannot apply if:
- You study at an unaided private school. Super 30 covers government and government-aided institutions only, and this is the most common reason an otherwise strong applicant is not eligible.
- Your family income is Rs 8,00,000 or above in the certified income document.
- You cannot produce a PRTC, a student living in Tripura without domicile status does not qualify.
- You scored below 50% in Class 9 or fall below 60% in the Class 10 board examination.
- You are already out of school or in Class 11 to Super 30 is an entry point at the Class 10 stage only, not a mid-course scholarship.
Reserved seats for SC, ST and OBC candidates are filled from the same merit list; the caste certificate only decides which seat pool you compete in, it does not lower the qualifying marks.
What documents are required for Tripura Super 30?

How to apply for Tripura Super 30
- Open the official portal at tripurasuper30.com during the registration window, which in the last two cycles ran up to 31 March.
- Register with your mobile number and verify it with the OTP sent to that number. Use a number that will stay active until counselling.
- Fill the application form with your name, school, Class 9 marks, Class 10 roll number from the admit card, category and family income.
- Upload the scanned photograph, signature, Class 9 marksheet, admit card, income certificate, PRTC and, if applicable, caste or disability certificate.
- Submit the form and download the confirmation page. It carries your application number, which you will need to download the admit card.
- Download the selection test admit card from the same portal when it is released, and check the test centre and reporting time printed on it.
- Appear for the two-hour written test covering Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology. In the 2025 cycle the test was held from 12 noon to 2 p.m.
- Check the merit list on the portal, and if you are called, attend counselling with all original documents and your Class 10 marksheet.
How to apply offline if you cannot register online
Super 30 registration is online only. Students without home internet should use one of these routes rather than skipping the cycle:
- Ask your school head teacher or principal, schools are informed of the Super 30 window by the Directorate of Secondary Education and normally help Class 10 students register from the school computer.
- Use a Common Service Centre (CSC) or a Vidya Jyoti school lab with the scanned documents on a phone or pen drive.
- Contact the District Education Officer in your district if the school has not received the circular.
The written test itself is always offline, at a physical centre allotted on the admit card.
How much support does Super 30 give?
Super 30 support is paid to the coaching institute, not to the student. The two ceilings published for the scheme are Rs 1,00,000 per year for coaching fees and Rs 1,40,000 per year for accommodation, and both run for the two years of the JEE or NEET preparation programme. Anything the institute charges above those ceilings is not covered, which is why the Directorate steers selected students towards institutes whose packages fit inside the limits.
The subject spread of the selection test — Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology together, means a student can enter without having decided between the engineering and the medical track. That decision is made at counselling, when the coaching stream is fixed.
How to check your Super 30 application and result status
- Log in to tripurasuper30.com with the registered mobile number and OTP.
- Open the application dashboard to see whether your form is submitted, under verification, or returned for correction.
- Download the admit card when the portal publishes it, and print a copy.
- After the test, check the merit list and counselling notice published on the same portal.
Notices are also circulated to schools through District Education Officers, so a student whose phone is out of service can confirm the result through the school.
Why Super 30 applications get rejected
- School type. The applicant is from an unaided private school.
- Income certificate above Rs 8 lakh, or an expired income certificate.
- No PRTC, or a residence certificate that is not the PRTC.
- Class 9 marks below 50%, checked against the uploaded marksheet.
- Class 10 board marks below 60%, discovered at counselling after the test.
- Illegible uploads. A blurred marksheet or a photograph that does not match the admit card.
- Mobile number not reachable at counselling stage, so the call is missed.
Most of these are fixable if caught early. Correcting an income certificate takes a fresh SDM application, so start it well before the March registration deadline rather than in the last week.
Key dates for Super 30
Super 30 runs on the school calendar. Registration has closed on 31 March in recent cycles, with the selection test held in early April, soon after the Class 10 board examinations end. Counselling follows the declaration of the TBSE Madhyamik result, because the 60% board marks condition can only be checked then. Dates shift by a few days each year, so treat the notice on tripurasuper30.com as the authority rather than last year's calendar.
Where to get help or raise a grievance
- Directorate of Secondary Education, Shiksha Bhavan, Agartala, Tripura 799001, the office that administers the scheme.
- Your District Education Officer, for problems with certificates, school verification or missed notices.
- School head teacher, the first stop for a Class 10 student whose form is stuck or whose upload was rejected.
Super 30 charges nothing at any stage. Registration, the selection test and counselling are all free, and no institute or agent has authority to promise a Super 30 seat in exchange for money.

Frequently asked questions

What does the Tripura Super 30 Scheme actually pay for?
Super 30 pays the coaching institute directly, up to Rs 1,00,000 per year towards tuition and up to Rs 1,40,000 per year towards accommodation, for a two-year JEE or NEET preparation programme at a nationally reputed coaching institute outside Tripura.
Who can apply for the Tripura Super 30 Scheme?
Students studying in Class 10 at a government or government-aided school in Tripura, who passed Class 9 with at least 50% marks and whose family annual income is below Rs 8,00,000, can register. The student must hold a Permanent Residential Certificate of Tripura.

No. Super 30 is limited to students of government schools and government-aided schools in Tripura. Students of unaided private schools are not eligible, whatever their marks.
Is there a selection test for Tripura Super 30?
Yes. All registered students sit a two-hour written test covering Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology, and the merit list from that test decides who is called for counselling.
